You do not understand the timeline at all, do you? It's Classic WoW > BC > WotLK > Cataclysm. In that order, yes some things have been retconned, a lot of things have really; but that is the timeline. Anyways, last time Blizz said that Cataclysm takes place during WotLK, when he's still alive. I'm guessing they changed their mind though. The rest of the stuff, like BT still having Illidan and Kael'Thas still being in The Eye, is due to the whole fact that, game mechanics > Lore.

They're not going to go and remove a raid just because they added a new expansion. Sure you could argue and say that they removed Naxx, but they didn't. Since they added a new reason, apparently KT survived and he fled to Dragonblight and took Naxx with him, so they didn't remove it, they just upgraded Naxx essentially. As for the whole "But Ony is a levle 80 raid now!" Well that was just done for no real reason, simply because they wanted to and as an 'anniversary' present (I guess you could say) for those with some nostalgia for BC. It serves no actual purpose (aside from phat lewtz) but it didn't actually screw up the story either since you can still turn in Ony's head.
