Around Azeroth: Subtlety!
When Blizzard said they were going to start patrolling Moon Guard's infamous Goldshire Inn for harassment and erotic roleplay, they weren't messing around. Ederick of <Order of the Silverhand> on Moon Guard (US-A) spotted this purple Will Hays keeping a watchful eye on the loyal citizens and mild perverts of Goldshire. Who wants to hook up when you're being glared at by a grape Kool-Aid demon?

"so how are we gonna handle all the shenanigans on moon guard?"
"well, lets just say they're gonna have trouble adapting our countermeasure into their roleplay."

I say we all salute our new purple demonic overlord and welcome them into our lives yet again.
All hail, Blizzard yet again!!
RedGuard Aug 7th 2010 10:08AM
That's awesome.

Will Hays. Priceless! I really did LOL.

My first thought, seeing that, is someone from Blizzard saying "I have something big, pulsing and purple to show you in Goldshire"
Styvorama Aug 7th 2010 10:12AM
Haha that is perfect

My first thought, reading your comment, is bluewaffle.

That's so funny. I give Blizzard props for doing such a task in such a humorous way. Nice to see the devs being so lighthearted.

I hate to be Buzz Killington, but that's actually not a dev trick. It's a known gigantic growth bug of the "creative use of game mechanics" type, coupled with a warlock's Metamorphosis. The drunken bubbles give it away. I did it before in Dal with my troll, getting stuck in the entrance to the Dal bank when I mounted up due to being gigantic (oops!), but generally just doing giant thunderclaps and shockwaves (since the animations scale up with you, it looks awesome).
I taught my guildies how to use it and we're planning on doing a quick Stormwind rush as giants for some guild promotion video/pictures... assuming we fit through the gates. I'd share the specifics, but I don't want it to become too well known and for Blizz to patch the backdoor that still exists.

Win.

I've seen a screenshot where the Onyxian Guards from the old attunement quest chain invaded the Lion's Pride Inn. Apparently, they worked up quite a thirst getting their butts handed to them repeatedly by Bolvar Fordragon for years.

Reminds me of the Grim Reaper in Guild Wars that kills cheaters and hackers, heh. That's funny.
MisterRik Aug 7th 2010 10:25AM
What the ...?! Is this serious? I was expecting something more ... covert.
Charlie Aug 7th 2010 10:26AM
I'm really tempted into trying to spawn this creature...for science of course

"Who wants to hook up when you're being glared at by a grape Kool-Aid demon?"
You'd be surprised.
Teron Aug 7th 2010 2:50PM
Damnit, you got to say it first i_i....

Rule 34.
Erzfiend Aug 8th 2010 8:11AM
There are, however, exceptions to that rule.
Case in point, Rosie O'Donnell.
And if you are now imagining it, you can thank me for that image.

I remember when Blizzard said they weren't out to get the ERPers but the OOC harassment that is happening in /Yell, /Say, general and yes, whispers.
They are going after off server level ones who are spamming racial slurs and harassing people. Not the people sitting in the corner quietly in party chat.
Matt Aug 7th 2010 10:35AM
That just makes me want to roll a toon to see that
