For the Horde: The Final Journey is a sort of tribute movie about RomireVid's efforts to reach level 80 on his hunter. You can think of it as a kind of send-off, a trailer and a memorial all at the same time. RavenSylphe was clearly a collaborator in the movie, but Romire also thanks Cryssy, Wakagana and Sporcy.
The foundation of For the Horde is all right, but there are a few places where this style could use some polish. The voice acting didn't click for me, but that kind of thing is personal preference. However, I think using a consistent font for the movie subtitles would have helped it immensely. It's a bit distracting for each language flash to be in a different font style.
I like seeing how Romire is growing his videos, and it'll definitely be interesting to see where he goes next. Interested in the wide world of machinima? Good to see I'm not the only one who didn't like it. I could quite a bit about this movie, but I'll just leave it at - get a better mic if you're serious about machinima, and check your spelling.
Not really fond of this one either. Not badly done, but I'm not a fan of music machinima in general. I'd rather see something that has a good, original story. Granted there are a few very awesome music machinimas, this one just ain't my thing.
Really? I remember them being MOSTLY positive. There's always someone who will crap on anything. There were a few people that said they were tired of the Human Pally/Belf female story-line (and I agree) but the video overall and especially the music was approved of.
I don't think every little critique is necessarily and overwhelmingly negative thing.
I haven't gone back and checked that thread so I may be remembering better than it was. :D
After that big "welcome to hell" intro, it seemed rather anti-climatic that the main character stepping forward 'into hell' was a tiny little Blood Elf girl.
Then the big Orc dude referring to said tiny, pretty little elf girl as "fresh meat" came off as a little bit perverted to me.
Well I don't know that we should bash on every artist that's doing what they can with the equipment they have. Why would we expect people doing this stuff for fun to run out and get a top-of-the line machine? No one would start machinima's that way.
That being said, I'm a sucker for that particular accent, so I may be biased. ;-p
Overall the vid didn't do anything for me but I could understand what was being said which is more than I can say for some similar vids.
Notice I'm not ragging on the fact that it's another freaking female belf, which over-run my server. X-p I'm being good over here, honest.
The game footage was well edited, and the idea itself was good. The voice acting needs work, and a better mic; no question. And the colored fonts were a bit distracting.
If this person is 14 or under, then they're doing really well for their first video. :D

The funny thing is when Michael featured *that* video, a lot of people complained about it too...

Anything Cranius touches is usually FTW. :) Unfortunately there are too few machinimators out there that have that kind of musical ability. :(

Ouch, he seriously needs a better mic.

Throw in a better voice while you're at it.
SenorTucan Aug 11th 2010 6:43PM

And the music after "welcome to hell" wasn't appropriate at all.
And agreed, the mic was terribad. He would be turned down in an instant in vent.

Is the goal of WoW Moviewatch to encourage people to make bad WoW machinima? If so, you're doing an awesome job!

Pretty craptacular.

I don´t understand why the entire video is sow low on Textures and FPS. With such a poor quality, it doesn´t deserve a place in this article series.
