Not much else to say here, folks -- here's your new login screen music in Cataclysm. Twelve minutes of pure epic, with themes from vanilla and every expansion afterward. Lots of references to the original login music starting at 1:30.

I wasn't feeling it till the 1:55+ mark which (for a login) is pretty far in. It was kinda chaotic and jarring... carcophonic even, but after that point it was all smooth sailing.

Considering the theme of the expansion and the overall state of the gameworld from that point onward... "chaotic and jarring" seems remarkably appropriate.

As somebody who learned to play the French Horn (not well mind you, but I tried!) I always get a chill when I hear them swell in a song. They typically make already epic songs even more epic sounding.

cant wait to listen to this play 12 times wile I wait for the game to install, another 16 wile I watch the opening screen waiting for my server to come up and finally hear the first 40 sec 999999999999999999999999 times for the rest of the expansion.

What, you never switch applications while on the character selection screen and let it sit, listening to the login screen theme loop over and over until you remember that you had been playing WoW at some point that day?
...Oh. Well... uh... I definitely don't, either. Yeah.
Anyways, I feel like the beginning is pretty epic enough that I'll still enjoy it for the 30-40 seconds that it takes me to login and get into the game.

I dunno... I'm torn. I like this.. Alot... But I'm not sure I'm digging this for the login screen. It's Epic to be fair... It's full of awesome... but I dunno.. It's lacking.
Call me Nostalgic, but I don't know that anything has gotten me more excited to play this game than Vanilla's opening.
