Cataclysm Beta: New loading screen gallery

A new build of the Cataclysm beta just dropped, and with the update came a makeover for the loading screens for all four continents. They now feature the faction leaders for Eastern Kingdoms and Kalimdor, Maiev and Akama for Outland, and the most recent Lich King in Northrend.

I personally won't.

While I found the image good, I didn't like it being on the loading screen.

It was too manga-y. I like manga, but it didn't fit into any other artwork.

I don't like seeing Garrosh on a loading screen.

I like Tyrande being on the loading screen. Notice for Worgen and Goblins we get generic characters, and not leaders. Bet that changes before release.

Don't like Bolvar on the Northrend loading screen. That is way too hell "SPOILER HERE!", and will confuse the hell out of new players wondering who the hell it is when it's supposed to be the Lich King.

I don't like Maiev being on a loading screen simply because the screens supposed to show faction leaders. With her and Akama on them, it's showing they are the leaders now, I.e. "Illidan's dead", I know this is supposed to be in the past, but do we need to remove the major characters from the loading screens, and replace them with other major characters? When you go to Outland Illidan isn't dead. He should be on the loading screen. Put the other three on there if you want, too. Tired of seeing Kael'thas.

I will miss her animeness as well.. but on a side note, Garrosh is my new favorite artwork of all the loading screens.

I thought so myself. Actually looked at it for at least 2 min. It's intense for some reason. Bolvar Forlichkingdragon.

I personally think its neat they featured the heroes in the Northrend and Outland shots as opposed to the villains, implying the "defeat" of those villians by the time the Cataclysm has arrived.

We all know Bolvar quickly succeeded Arthas as the Lich King, and I figure the two people I would expect to be directly involved with a Post-Illidan Black Temple would be Akama and (to a lesser extent) Maiev.

Load up the Northrend loading screen, and play the new Cataclysm loading music. Specifically, around 4:05. Let the two meld in your mind. It's a beautiful pairing.

Atleast we dont have to watch blueish loading screen with Arthas' perverted grin "eeexcellent" pose everytime we die in WG or anywhere else for minute or sometimes two..

I'm not sure about having Bolvar on the lich king. A new player goes there, thinks, "Okay, I'm off to kill the lich king. The one they said was dead in WPL..."

"Who's that? Oh... maybe the lich king IS already dead"
