Cataclysm Beta: Thrall receives a new model
Another build hit Cataclysm beta realms this evening, bringing a whole slew of new data into the game. Certainly the most eyecandylicious is Thrall's new model, which you can see above. He's abandoned his Stockade Pauldrons for a more old-school shaman look, passing on the brutal, raw elemental aesthetics we've been seeing in the armor given to player characters for the last couple of years.
My significant other suggested that the prayer beads around Thrall's neck make him look like Street Fighter's Dhalsim (but green and beefy), but come on. Everyone knows Dhalsim wears skulls and not beads. Get with the program, here!

Paint him blue and give him a couple tentacles. He looks like a broken.
Seriously he looks waaay too old for his age. The face is too long and gaunt.

I love drawing hip bags full of maps and flasks and potions on my fantasy characters, ever since I was little. I would love to see them in the game as well.
Not to mention actual cloaks that mantle the shoulders and are more than strips of fabric.

New player models please. =D
Thrall looks wonderful - can't wait to see more model changes.

It's not a Horde emblem, period. Have you ever seen one? lol
Go ahead, flip the image. It isn't a Horde emblem the other way, either.

I have to say I both like and dislike his new model. I have to agree his face looks a bit too long and his tusks are way too small. I wish they had done something with his eyes to make them stand out a bit more.
As for his age, I have to agree with some other comments. Leading the HORDE is not easy, and I am sure dealing with Garrosh added an extra 10 to 15 years on him alone.
As for the things I like. He finally LOOKS like an old school WCIII Farseer. It really fits for who he is, not just what he is. As for the Doomhammer. I seriously hope he did not just hand it over to Garrosh, because Garrosh has not earned that honor.

Hmm, you going a point there:P
Just, I would prefer that Thrall got he's face updated and still running around in he's old gear, he look like Gul'dan from WC3 xD

Well we can add Thrall to the list of important characters with their own model.

I just want to know why his tusks are so tiny.

He looks so grumpy. The old Thrall (the one currently in is rightful place in Orgrimmar) looked heroic and trustworthy. Now he just looks like a grumpy old man who has lost his taste for everything, not wise or someone you wouldn't want to cross in battle.
Farewell true Thrall you will be missed . Doomhammer never had a more worthy wielder. R.I.P. old friend

I just wish they gave him a model like in the anniversery wallpaper to me this just isn't Thrall. However the face details are nice and it would be cool if we could use this to customize our game characters.
