And luckily for you (and us all) they HAVE revamped that :) I have a worgen sitting at 45 now, and I have never ever had as much fun with leveling. Every single redone classic zone I've come across so far was pretty much epic. Certainly comparable to these new starting zones, arguably and depending on your taste maybe even better. It really just breezes by, also because you get much more immersed in the story now.
They have streamlined the quest flow a lot, and there's all sorts of good new things like: * one or two major events ending each zone's big questline (think wrathgate style)
* a blue reward at the end of those questlines
* matching well itemized item 'sets' you will collect each zone
* a lot more quests with fun mechanics and just.. engaging fun storylines.
I even read all the quests now instead of going 'yeh ok kill 30 boars'. Because it's fun, and.. they tend to really make you think 'what's gonna happen next?!' and want to progress in the story.
I really love it, I can hardly bring myself to play the 80+ content in beta now since low levels are just really.. awesome!
After Cata comes out, Outland is really going to be the big bore everybody can't wait to get out of asap.
