The Day That Deathwing Came, continued!
Once upon a time, there was a crazed, possibly booze-addled dwarf named Theldurin the Lost. He lived in the Badlands quite happily until the Cataclysm and that fateful Day That Deathwing Came, upon which he exclaimed, "I'm gonna punch that dragon in the face!" to the delight of all. Unfortunately for those of us following the adventures of Theldurin, the quest line following his epic tale of adventure was incomplete -- that is, until the latest patch build. Check out the video above for part two of the real story of what happened The Day That Deathwing Came and its conclusion, after the break.

What I love the most is that Martek's name because "Martek the Awesome" and in addition to the female Night Elf, Orc, and Human surrounding him, there's a Male Blood Elf.

When you do quests involving him, you discover Martek is in hiding because of, among many, many other things, his numerous bedroom related indiscretions.

I have never once laughed so hard about WoW. Glad I watched them here first, because in game I'd be laughing too hard to play.

Of course, it's all true, in a way.
A nameless undead ran up to Deathwing and punched him in the face. Then, he jumped up on his magnificent dinosaur to find Deathwing in the clouds. Finally, he had to choose between a bunch of hot babes, a BE dude, and his best-friend dinosaur to save on his epic lazer-shark mount.
You don't EVEN want to know what he did to Deathwing then...
Now he patrols the Maelstrom on his mount, Epicus Maximus , , and he continues to

(Just for the grand total of three people who haven't seen it.)

"And he continues to..."
Stupid me.

My friend just pointed out that things don't work in HTML if they have the "less than" and "greater than" symbols around them.
My awesome vision has been ruined by a lack of knowledge of scripting...
I'm going to go cry myself to sleep now.
Demadan Aug 14th 2010 8:21PM
That was epic..
And duude, I think Blizzard's going a bit overboard with the gay blood elves, oh well..
Glad he had his tender moment with him anyway.. lol
Mihn Aug 14th 2010 8:34PM
I dont think the Blood Elf is the only one who likes an alternate lifestyle. Why did Martek choose him?
brian Aug 14th 2010 8:41PM
"Atop the pillar I saw him: Deathwing. The time for the ultimate confrontation had arrived..."
"I'm gonna punch that dragon in the face!"
Hahah. Oh wow, that was awesome. Never expected that. He did indeed make Martek's story fifty times better.

Once again, Jesse Cox does an AMAZING job voicing the characters bringing the story to life. I watched it three times back-to-back and I'm still busting my sides laughing.

Oh I did not record them! But I did the post for them after they were processed. You can thank Alex for the footage. :)

I love Blizz letting you choose a male character as a "babe". Quite a bit of progression since the whole "Oz" issue way back when.
Artificial Aug 14th 2010 10:37PM
For anyone who has no idea what's being referred to above re: the "Oz" issue:

Interesting quote from that article:
"Blizzard defended itself by saying that information about players' real lives can lead to harassment in the game and its warning was only intended to limit such harassment."
So, real life information can lead to harassment, and Blizzard wanted to *limit* that back then? Yeah, things really have changed...
blissfire Aug 14th 2010 11:05PM
Oh yes! The fact that the game gives you the option of choosing a male "hot babe" for Martek to "share a tender moment with" is beyond awesome. I've wished many times that my female goblin could choose Candy Cane as her girlfriend. :) And man, these quests look *unbelievably* fun, can't wait!
