Curse of the Worgen comic on sale Nov. 17

It's no secret that I'm ridiculously in love with our new worgen overlords. As far as I'm concerned, they can't start eating us fast enough. As such, I'm crazy-excited for Blizzplanet's announcement that a release date has been settled upon for the upcoming Curse of the Worgen comic series. Written by Micky Nielson of "Unbroken" fame and James Waugh (known for his work on StarCraft II), and illustrated by Ludo Lullabi and Tony Washington, it's got me intrigued. How will this limited series connect up with the worgen story as it unfolds in Cataclysm?
Heck, I'm a sucker for detective stories without worgen in them, so adding them has me positively giddy.

Wait wait. The guy who wrote Unbroken?
I am suddenly a WoW comic fan.

Exactly my thought.
I mean, dude. That story was what made me roll a shaman and fall in love with the class. He is a wonderful writer, and now I am geeking out. This will probably be the first WoW related literature that I will actually buy.

perhaps this release date corresponds to another? perhaps an expansion to a game near and dear to those who might want to read said comic...

I saw that November 17 date and wondered the same. The question is whether this is intended to be released to grab attention for the upcoming expansion or if I am seeing connections where there are none.

Considering that it's just the first of five issues, I wouldn't read too much into it. Christie Golden's The Shattering: Prelude to Cataclysm is due out on October 19th, and I certainly wouldn't read too much into that date.

@Suzaku: Actually, that would fit in with the whole thing even more.

Perhaps inspector Clouseau should be notified...

I wonder if there is a curse that turns humans into little green men.
Ibet Aug 18th 2010 9:27AM
Or a curse that's makes all elves (BE and NE) into santa's elves!
Narshe Aug 17th 2010 9:02PM
More Ludo Lullabi trying his hardest to be Joe Mad? No thanks :/

I definitely suggest giving him another shot. His early work on the WoW comic suffered greatly from less-than-stellar coloring, in my opinion. His work on Ashbringer with Tony Washington as colorist was extremely good and very well suited to Warcraft, in my opinion.
