Reminder: Server Maintenance Party tonight

Here are the details:
- When: Tuesday, Aug 17, 10:30 p.m. EDT (7:30 p.m. PDT, 8:30 p.m. realm time) to meet and greet. 11 p.m. EDT for the actual event and stream.
- Where: Meet at Light's Hope Chapel on Zangarmarsh (US-PvE-H)
- How: Ask Robinella or any <It came from the Blog> guild member for an invite to the guild. Ranks of Blog Lurker or above can invite.
- What: We will be attempting to complete Bolstering Our Defenses, following a plan to be discussed in guild chat at the time of the event (in case Alliance spies are reading this).
- Who: Any level Horde character is invited to participate, but you will have more fun at level 58 or higher.

Do you guys ever have problems with 'taking down the server' with these parties? I know that I read that BRK took down a server with one of his gnaked gnome runs.

There's been plenty of lag, but I haven't heard of the servers crashing.
I didn't stick around for the whole RP event on Shadow Council last time, so I don't know about that one. But I'm sure there weren't as many people there as the event we had during the Midsummer Fire Festival.

Nope, not at all. They have greatly fortified the servers since the time BRK crashed the server for the charity run and the worst we've had is video and quest lag in the immediate area where the crowd is.

One time he planned an event, and named the server, and Blizzard asked him not to to keep the server from being crunched.
He cancelled the event, I believe.

I got my baby DK Delidra ready for tonight with an awesome Alterac Valley victory while I was on lunch today. I'm not great at PvP and re-learning DK stuff is fun, so I'm sure tonight will be a blast.
Hope we'll have enough Alliance to fight!

Slightly unrelated, but how do you stream WoW and audio to justin.tv?

Adobe Flash Media Encoder 2.5 and VHSScrCap
It took me a lot of fiddling to get it all to work and I've only figured out how to give it one audio stream ... so it's either me or the in-game audio and I choose me. :)
