The Daily Blues

In which I've come to like healing as well.

Ghostcrawler
Ghostcrawler -- Holy paladin treeWe removed the prereq chain from Divine Illumination to Aura Mastery and Light of Dawn. We had the prerq in there to make sure paladins didn't skip over a powerful group utility talent in a perhaps selfish attempt to enhance their personal healing per second, but we do acknowledge that it is far less useful in say 5-player dungeons.

This was my scenario as well. I've found that I actually enjoy healing though.

Glad to see blizz adapting trees more around every player not just one grp
Cthulu Aug 19th 2010 9:53AM
I love fail first thing in the morning.
Amaxe Aug 19th 2010 10:02AM
It smells like pathetic?
Tsume Shiro Aug 19th 2010 9:57AM
Idk why i got downranked on the first one. I was just saying that blizz has been gearing trees and spells around php and/or one type of play style for a wild now. As a long time fury warrior and a now FOL holy paladin the changes they are making over time are nice to see.
Cthulu Aug 19th 2010 10:35AM
WTH is PHP and "for a wild now" is this some type of web survival show?
Tsume Shiro Aug 19th 2010 10:37AM
Its supposed to be pvp and while, im posting from my phone and its auto correcting typos.
Tsume Shiro Aug 19th 2010 10:45AM
again down ranked? ok let me ask this then, am I saying anything offensive? no. Am I giving links to random irrelevant things? no. Am I insulting other posters? no. Am I stating that talents, spells and specs have become more adaptive to the players over time? yes. Am I saying that I like the fact that the changes are happening? yes. Am I saying that Blizzard is getting away from the days of "cookie cuter" specs as best they can? yes. Am I amazed at the inability of other posters to get this simple concept? YES.
Rob Aug 19th 2010 10:55AM
Tsu at least half of my posts are downranked, it means nothing. This isn't a popularity contest.

Allow me to explain your downrankings. Ironically, it's a very simple concept that you seem unable to get.
It's not that anyone is offended or neccesarily disagrees with your first post. It's that you replied to yourself to say "WOOT FIRST!"
Let's face it. The second you did this, you informed people that you're the type of person who, for some reason, gives a flying **** about being the first commenter. Well, then...why should we even care about what you had to say. If the prospect of being "first" is something that's important to you, then as far as we can tell, you just blurt out the first thing that comes to your mind in order to get that coveted "first" post.
The rest of your posts are basically you crying like a little girl about being downranked.
Nobody cares if you're first, and nobody wants to hear someone complain about the color of their post. That's all there is to it.
Cthulu Aug 19th 2010 11:12AM
Downranked just means that everyone else who read what you wrote didnt' think it was any good or crappy or they hate you. It is a popularity contest but QQ about downranking is -50dkp.
Lucas Aug 19th 2010 4:51PM
more dots, more dots, more dots... now stop the dots...
WTFFFFFFFFF!!!!
thats a -50dkp!!!
sorry, but I had to say this... this video is so funny and the "-50dkp" part reminded me of it X3
feel free to downrate this comment if you want, I don't mind... it has nothing to do with the main topic, anyway lol

Y'know, I dual-spec'd Holy not quite out of guild necessity, but more to be as useful as possible. Typically, it's healers that are in short supply.
I enjoyed healing just fine. My complaint about it was that I was recruited to tank, I preferred to tank, but everytime raid night rolled around I was asked to heal because the healers weren't showing up, but we had some warriors and DKs with tanking offspecs, even if they were ridiculously undergeared or didn't know what to do for the fight.
Starraven Aug 19th 2010 11:10AM
I also tanked all the way through BC and until I got to 80. I never planned on dual specing until my guild needed healers for content. So I off speced resto and ended up enjoying it a lot. Fast forward a few months... We have tons of trees and no other heals, now I am almost 80 with my pally with the intention of dual specing holy just because we a) need different heals, and b) I have found that I do enjoy healing more than I ever thought I would. Sometime you would be amazed on how you will find a new play style enjoyable from having to do it out of necessity.

Hooray again for the *Daily* Blues!!! :)
Zaros Aug 19th 2010 12:51PM
They have actually been daily for the last few days. I guess he read your last comment :P

I love healing. All though I've made some pure melee alts and a couple caster dps, I never stuck it out with them. I've played a priest since vanilla and all my favorite alt is my resto shammy.
Theres alot of satisfaction to be had out of succesfully holding a bad pull together, saving a tank at the last minute with a clutch GS or Penance or pocket healing a skilled arms warrior and watching them tear a BG to pieces :)
Wraithanne Aug 19th 2010 10:38AM
My original main was a Priest, done out of guild necessity. My second was a Mage because I grew to hate healing because of guild BS. Circle back to Wrath, new guild needs some healbots, I start healing again and I'm enjoying again. Guess it's all in your environment.
Wahhaj Aug 19th 2010 10:57AM
Loved healing since vanilla... sadly the only class i have not healed on is a priest. This will be my goal come cata!
Rob Aug 19th 2010 10:59AM
I do all 3 roles routinely when I play, I like them all. However, I tend to notice the healer is always the one applauded when the stuff hits the fan. I was tanking heroic nexus and some idiot dps decided to pull the ENTIRE hallway. We survived due to some skill amongst us, not just myself. I gave the healer a pat on the back but I never got so much as a thanks out of that group.
IMO tanks are vastly underappreciated, healing is fun (and needed of course) but when it gets really bad, its up to the tank to save your bacon.
Algnosis Aug 19th 2010 11:17AM
Agreed.
I always appreciate a good tank. I love it when I can bring a loose mob back into the tank and they pick him up with ease, bringing order to the chaos.. Or when one makes for a squishy and the tank promtly peels him back off, that makes me hapy :)
