I just happened to be in the WoW.com war room when this video hit the internet, and I was able to collect some quotes from your intrepid WoW.com staff about Alexstrasza. In lieu of my usual blathering, I thought I might share those today:
Matt Low called it "the best thing since chopsticks," while Ziebart himself said, "I love it, it's hilarious." By comparison, Mathew McCurley said, "I went from hate you to love you almost weirdly fast." I think we were all struggling with initial Gaga-related revulsion, but couldn't help be won over by the good time parody. But I assure you that this song is insanely catchy, and it will stay with you. Robin closed, saying, "I really, really love that video."

Excellent song, very good production quality.
I didn't care too much for the video, though. Too much focus on her body (Even cutting her head out of frame) and the Brittney Spears dance moves kind of spoil the Dragonqueen mystique for me.
However, I loved the music. I'm going to go look for an MP3 download link right now.

This was basically what I felt too. I really liked the music and the singing was excellent. The video seemed like it could have had a little more though. It was just a little too repetative, I think.

I agree, they could have filled some of the chorus with a shot of Alexstrasza's dragon form. It did get a little repetitive as-is.

Great singing, the lyrics.... meh.
"Joined the Aspects who then stole the Demon Soul" ... what the... what is that supposed to mean?
I know the lore behind the Aspects, the Demon/Dragon Soul etc. but this makes no sense to me.

One presumes it refers to Alexstrasza joining Malygos, Nozdormu and Ysera after being freed and going on (along with Rhonin) to get the Soul back from the Deathwing and the Dragonmaw and destroy it.

But it was pretty much Rhonin who got the Demon Soul back and destroyed it, the Aspects didn't have anything to do with it, primarily because neither of them could so much as touch it. Rhonin and somewhat Krasus/Korialstrasz did all the work in this venture.
If they really refer to this, it's very badly chosen and worded imo.

Actually, you are wrong sir. If you read the book, according to Knaak, Malfurion is the one who got the demon soul back, not a dragon or Rhonin or Krasus/Korialstrasz.

Off-topic? I brought up a flaw in the featured video and wanted to talk about it, how is that off-topic? Please enlighten me.
Uninteresting? That is subjective. I'm a sucker for the Lore and this sentence was really, really weirdly constructed. Even if they had to make it fit the song. Instead of building such a weird sentence, describing a moment in the lore very vaguely, they should just have put some other text there.

You know, I came in this with my expectations low, expecting to hate it....
But, theres just SOMETHING about it. Maybe its just the lore nerd with in me who is happy to see someone get their fact right.
Maybe im just not truly awake.
Either way, its good. 4/5.

I love how during the chorus she's walking toward the camera with a cape on, and then when she's walking away from the camera the cape magically disappears. Go go fan service!

Check out when she does her dance moves. The cape magically disappears when she spins away from the viewer.
