It's quite possible your computer renders the image differently due to different graphic card. Abilities of graphic cards tend to vary not only from one brand to another, but also from one manufacturer to another, even from one type to another. Also, you might have maximum settings ingame, but not maximum settings in your card driver software (those are separate). Especially various hardware settings can make your shadows and textures a lot more crispy than your average default setting.
