How do you work that out? Have you ever done it?

There is delay between clearing a full mailbox of 50 items and the next set of 50 items appearing. I think it's one minute per set.

3550/50 = 71 full mailboxes = 71 minutes.

yes that is too long, assuming you can empty your mail box and reload load to banker in 35 seconds then it should only take 41minutes or so to collect 3550 glyphs, but without reloading, the game has a limit of 50 mails a minute so It would in fact take 71 minutes to collect 3550 mails from your mail box

There's a 60 second time limit on the mailbox. If you have to retrieve 3k glyphs that expired and you can only get 50 at a time, do the math. It takes a lot of time away from playing your "main" (unless you main IS the AHer).

I had a competitor that started camping the AH. Since I only post 2 of every glyph at a time, it takes no time at all to undercut him, get my glyphs from the mailbox, and move on. He was posting 5+ at a time and it took him so much longer that he got tired of posting and "mailboxing" and he started taking a lot more time off and camping less.

Waiting until you see your competitor canceling/reposting is something I like to do. If he's been on for a bit, I can time my posting to his canceling and get prices back up to MY fallback again.

Did you know you can /reloadui, right click on the mail box and get the next 50 mail right away? Takes a lot less time than 60 seconds.

...not saying that is in any way that fun, but it is a lot faster.

3000 mails/50 per minute gives 60 minutes to process them all.

If you have the armory AH, emptying mail is a lot less painful. I will have to time it, but I suspect that each 50 mail come faster than in game.

What is the name of the add-on that will get all your mail out of the mail box?

@Basil - unless I'm missing something (and I've got the remote AH open in another tab right now, I looked), you cannot retrieve mail using the remote AH unless it's sold items or failed bids. That doesn't really apply to the current article, and I think if you were collecting sales for over an hour you'd probably be fine with that anyway :p

you CAN however clear an entire mailbox of 3000 glyphs AFK if you have an addon i forget what its called but they mentioned it on call to auction

anyway what it does is it constantly queries the server for more mail until you have no more mail remaining. get a full set of empty frostweave bags, set the addon up, then go watch *insert favorite TV show*
