I hope to see more articles about Glyphs. Everyone should be encouraged to enter a saturated market that requires a lot of babysitting for a minimal return. This leaves professional stockbrokers like myself a free reign on the more profitable markets.
This article was exceedingly priceless when it suggested that we buy-out all of a certain material that has an unlimited supply, and which will become relatively worthless in a couple months when the Cataclysm destroys the demand for it.
Keep up the good work!

Puntable... I'm actually "speculating" the opposite of this... I think Cataclysm will increase the value of some products... especially raw materials. Supply will shrink quickly, but they've created a scenario where leveling from lvl 1 or from an old toon will become a whole new experience again. Once they get to the 70's (especially the first of this batch), they'll want to level as fast as possible (since the material is old and tired), which I believe will increase demand for materials as they try to power level through. It's not a quick gold scenario... but it could pay off slowly as another source of income.

@andoring I think Cataclysm will actually reduce the price of the "old world" herbs since you will now be able to use flying mounts to collect them.

Andoring has a point. On my server those mats you get from disenchanting lvl 54-58 old world items sell for a ton because most people are jumping straight into out land as soon as they can. So the demand far exceeds the supply. Greater Eternal Essence, Large Brilliant Shard, and Illusion Dust usually sell pretty well.

Our server actually had a recent crash in prices old world enchantment mats, since the rumor that they were taking away the Baron's mount caused a whole lot of Stratholme farming.

Things like Adder's Tongue will go down in worth as the horders dump unwanted herbs from their bank. Eventually the supply goes down and the worth goes back up, after all the excess supply is gone and there is less gathering happening at that level. This is assuming the item can be used to level a profession.
There is also a huge difference between buying herbs only when the price is low as an investment, and buying herbs at a high price in order to try and deny other crafters of materials. I still have a ton if Adder's Tongue stockpiled that I bought for 6 Gold per stack
