Choose My Adventure: Meet Robinka

It's a good thing you didn't choose a goblin for me. Goblins are crashing the beta right now, and both of my Roblins have been lost to The Great Goblin Wipe. /mourn
Poll results
- Subtlety won for Patent, the troll rogue.
- I'll be streaming Robinka, the dwarf shaman on Wednesday night. Thank you, Sharvis, for the name.
- Robinemia will be taking up skinning and leatherworking, beta permitting, since you all so nicely chose to allow me whatever I want -- despite my passive-aggressive behavior. I think that was very sweet of you.
Schedule
- Adam Holisky as Adammentat, the level 58 tauren druid, will play on Monday at 10 p.m. EDT.
- Anne Stickney as Annephora, the level 42 troll warrior, will play on Tuesday at 1 a.m. EDT (which is Monday at 11 p.m. Zangarmarsh time).

The sheer irony of a subtle patent troll is too good for words.

Can't wait! Though... do Dwarves have kegs for totems?
razion Aug 23rd 2010 7:37PM
Unfortunately not.; This was the theory for a long time, many hoped it would make it in. I did too. :c
They get storm-hammers with feathers--an Ironforge symbol-stick.
Sharvis Aug 23rd 2010 7:48PM
Wow, she looks very similar to the look I usually make for a female Dwarf. I think I see the twin ponytails too! Make sure you emote /train on her, it's so addicting. :P
Pyromelter Aug 23rd 2010 7:54PM
I have a hard time believing the female dwarves are actually dwarves in wow.
(It's totally the lack of beards)
Molly Aug 23rd 2010 8:51PM
Yay female dwarfs! I use a slightly different face (more heart-shaped, with brown eyes and fuller lips, if that gives anyone any idea which face I'm talking about), but I use the same exact hairstyle for my main. In fact, pretty much every female dwarf I see (as few of us as there are) uses the same hair style, color, and couple of faces.
Also, the female dwarf /train is definitely more addictive than it has any right to be...

@Pyromelter
The women have beards... just not the same place as the men.

YAY for the best hair in the game. Seriously, I love those flippy braids. I have 4 dwarf huntresses and they all look pretty much exactly like that. I can't wait to see her in action Robin. :D
Thorzon Aug 23rd 2010 9:13PM
Ew. They really need to update the character models. That Dwarf looks disgusting. It's not just the fact that's it's female either.
Thorzon Aug 23rd 2010 9:47PM
Bad comment. My bad. =\

I actually agree, though this post has been downrated into oblivion. Needs more polygons... though I think the Undead are probably a bit worse off.
In other dwarf related comments, look at the dwarf lady on the WOTLK Eastern Kingdoms loading screen. Rawr!

No bright blue tattoos? Awwww.... :(
Tirrimas Aug 23rd 2010 11:10PM
I must say, that particular robe looks quite alluring on a model that normally...isn't.
Tom Aug 23rd 2010 11:26PM
Hubba hubba!
Gossamer Aug 24th 2010 12:17AM
What is Robinka wearing? I love the outfit! Is it the dwarf shaman starting gear?
Robin Torres Aug 24th 2010 12:48AM
Yeah, I haven't even logged her in yet. So that's the starting Shaman outfit.
Hollow Leviathan Aug 24th 2010 5:09AM
Sweet of me nothing, I picked LW/Skinning, not the other way around! This is a slap in the face!
Neyssa Aug 24th 2010 5:17AM
Robinka - was that name suggested by a Hungarian person? :)
In Hungarian, if you put ka or ke at the end of a name, it means something like 'little robin' - robinka. They usually give kids nicknames like that (Kati - Katika, Szilvi - Szilvike). Anyways, its cute :D
Robin Torres Aug 24th 2010 10:38AM
Well, that just makes the name even more perfect. Thanks for the insight! :)

Rolling Alliance (even just beta), and a female dwarf to boot? No way. I looove female dwarves! My hunter is one. Making another in Cata as a mage or lock. Glad you chose the twirly pigtails of doom and awesome.
