While I agree with a lot, there are a few points, particularly about addons where I do not.
PowerAuras is not just about procs, despite that maybe being the more common use.
As one other reply stated, it can be used to display the lack of a buff, whether it be slice and dice, or say a raid buff like a flask or food, or even a poison on a weapon.
Also I feel that the dungeon maps were a long overdue addition, not from the view of being ripped from atlas, but because they are a useful tool which was proven with the introduction of the wotlk dungeon and raid maps.
