Blizzard has been adding addons in long before the quest tracker thing. You know those extra action bars you have, two on the bottom, two on the right? that was added way back in like 1.5ish.

Blizzard picks up addons all the time to integrate, infact I've found that they seem to integrate every handy addon I use, not surprising really considering the size of the playerbase, but it has proved a humorous joke when reading patch notes for me.
