To be honest, shadow is much more fun than affliction. My 76 warlock was leveling affliction, and it's ok, but I got dual specs and made him Demo, and it's like a bazillion times more fun, in my opinion. I'm generally not a fan of pet specs, but I really like the playstyle with both fire and shadow spells. But Shadow priests are the more fun DoT spec.
