It's actually called the Destruction of Empire, from the 5 painting series The Course of Empire by Thomas Cole. It's one of my favorite collections of paintings, as it shows an idealized history of Western civilization, from cavemen, to ancient Greece, to the pinnacle of the Roman, and finally the barbarian invasions and the resulting dark ages. Wikipedia has a nice write up about it.
