Fishing Pool Pro (WIP): Catch 10,000 fish from Northrend fishing pools.
That's going to be annoying, having spent weeks farming the turtle...

No, serious comment.
The prospect of lots of new achievements makes me happy, if only because I enjoy chasing the numerous achievements.

Since it's a WIP, I get the feeling that one will be expanded to either all fishing pools, or Cata ones.

Not having that mount yet, it would give me an excuse to keep at it post-Cat. That said, it seems like an odd achievement for Cataclysm. Kind of like adding in, say, an achievement for collecting elemental motes in Outland.

That's 10,000 for the GUILD. Not for you alone.

Cookie's the Captain in the Deadmines now?!?!? Woot!!
Kar On E Aug 31st 2010 11:54AM
Also, you guys missed out on a huge set of really interesting ones IMHO.
An example: "Classy Worgen - Reach level 85 of each of the Worgen classes listed below."
Is this the start of Account-Wide Achievements?
munkella Aug 31st 2010 12:14PM
No, it's a guild achievement.

So you copy and paste from MMO Champion and voila, it's a new article?
WoW.com staff needs some serious overhauling, lots of filler articles.
Adam Holisky Aug 31st 2010 11:55AM
I know. God forbid I sort through a hundred or so (?) achievements, pick the ones I think are the most important, post them here, and then link to MMO-C.
Quick, someone fire me.
/taps foot.

Damn you WoW.com writers for providing this info to people that don't regularly go to MMO-Champ. I for one stopped using MMO-Champ around the 500th "omfg wtf is this bbqsauce moan moan moan" thread, and only go there if Boub tweets about some news or whatnot. Other than that it's WoW.com and the generally good reading of the comment system.
Oh and know your lore. Know your lore is just the bomb. In fact, if it WAS a bomb, I'd eat and and let it blow up inside me just to save this shiny nightclub
Rai Aug 31st 2010 12:04PM
How do they sleep at night.
Damn it Holisky! You're off the case!

Comments like this really get my goat. It's not a copied and pasted article. Sites like MMOChamp and WoW.com often, not only have the same info, but they bounce things off of one another. WoW.com is filled with articles unique to them, have tons of new articles almost every day, and it's obvious that all the employees are very involved in the game, themselves, and care about what they share with us.
Why would anyone ever belittle an article like this? I'm thrilled that WoW.com has posts like this. There have been, what, like seven articles today, alone? It's just barely passed noon where I live. It's like being annoyed, when finding out that Channel 5 News is running the same story as Channel 3. Well, yeah. Why wouldn't they? It makes perfect sense. WoW.com is the first wow site I check in the day and so I'm happy to get this info right away. It was already stated that this info isn't live on the beta servers yet, but that MMOchamp seems to have datamined it early somehow. And, so, naturally Adam being a responsible and respectful writer, linked back to the original source. Again, I really appreciate the article.
Doki-Chan Aug 31st 2010 11:55AM
so, should it be able to tot up the ones you already have as achievements to Sum the Guild total?
If so, some guilds are well on their way already :D
Vladeon Aug 31st 2010 1:27PM
no, they've stated that they're going to restart the count once cataclysm starts. So even if you have every legendary item available in the game in your guild right now, you'll have to get it again once cataclysm comes out. it's going to be pretty annoying for those who got Shadowmourne.
Robin Fensom Aug 31st 2010 1:39PM
Nah, the We Are Legendary achievement is the exception here.
"We are making a exception for this guild achievement. Any legendary items you have already earned will count. "

actually the legendary ones are the only ones that a blue has said will be retroactive.
Naminator Aug 31st 2010 12:07PM
Lookin' good! Can't wait to achieve those! ^^,
styopa Aug 31st 2010 11:56AM
I'd be interested to see achievements that encourage the guild to come together in collective PvE achievements, and not just the accomplishments of the group of best. Most of those raid ones are things that the "A team" of raiders are just going to sweep through anyway.
What about an incremental reward for each guild member that's participated in a guild Ragnaros run? Or a % of the guild that's completed Glory of the Raider? It's possible that these would end up being negative (hah, if we kick out the losers we'll get this % achievement!) but there might be some way to formulate them positively.

Ya achevments for being the guild flask and feast supplier. Those wont be hard for me to get.
