Hmm looks like most of these are going to be for serious guilds and not for vanity or bank alt guilds. I understand this wasn't their intent to begin with of course, and I just have to deal with it.

Question: Are they increasing the # of tabs? I have 4 right now, and I understand six are the max.

You did see the achievement listed for the 7th tab? Kind of answers that.
