Thats what I thought it was at first, a mask like the defias one but with the warsong symbol on it (The warsong symbol is a fanged mouth)

My orc DK, tauren warrior, and human pally have been passing around those exact shoulders for months. Over time I have become convinced they are the ugliest gear item available in this game. They only look decent on the human, and even on him they're nothing spectacular. And on the orc in particular, as the lone aberration from his otherwise complete saronite DK starter set, they just look idiotic. He doesn't go into town much.

It's not a mask. During character creation for worgen, you can choose to customize your human side instead of worgen side. One of the faces has that amusing bug.
