To start the Echo Isles quests, you want to talk to Vanira, who is right next to Voljin in the Sen'jin village in Durotar.
To start the Operation Gnomeregan quests, you want to talk to High Tinker Mekkatorque, who is located in the Tinker Town district of Ironforge.

You can buy a poster: http://www4.printwarcraft.com/product_detail.html?catalogId=1&productId=3
I know I saw a ridiculously large downloadable version of the Troll poster a while back. So, maybe there's one for this, too.

Do you have to be 80 to participate in this event?
ajnorway Sep 7th 2010 2:08PM
i think they have stated before that you have to be at least level 10 but i could be wrong
Cynwise Sep 7th 2010 2:34PM
I have seen several level 10 gnomes inspiring their fellow citizens. They can participate (if not complete it).
Declopy Sep 8th 2010 11:25AM
It seems if you're not 80, you can begin the quests, and do them up until you recieve the transformation thing.
http://www.wowhead.com/item=54653 or http://www.wowhead.com/item=54651
and no further, so yeah, you can't get the achievement, but you CAN transform.

So, does this mean that Cataclysm release is close?
Ves Sep 7th 2010 2:03PM
Nope. I'll probably be
One month for Operation Gnomeregan/Zalazane's Fall
One month for the Elemental Invasion
One month of post-the Cataclysm hitting Azorth pre-the release of World of Warcraft: Cataclysm, if you get what that means.

Talk about under the radar . . . did anybody realize this was dropping this week?
In any case, does anybody know the level requirement for this? I have a lvl78 gnome warlock, and I'm curious if he needs to be 80 before he can liberate his homeland.
Dankie Sep 7th 2010 7:01PM
You can complete most of the quests at level 1, however to actually go stomp Gnomer (or go help vol'jin kill Zala) you need to be level 75+. ;_; I was sad, I got my lvl 1 gnome all the way there and ye told me 'Maybe someday in the future you can help', or something along those lines, once I finished the prelim. quests.

Woooot!
jealouspirate Sep 7th 2010 2:08PM
Ahhh! So excited!
Any word on how long these will last? I have a lvl 48 Troll I was hoping to get to 75 in time to reclaim echo isles...
Starlin Sep 7th 2010 2:00PM
Everyone wear your tabards and sport your titles from the argent tournament!
Noyou Sep 7th 2010 2:01PM
Gah! Caught me with me pants down did ye! I was thinking this would be closer to the Cata release. What do you guys feel this does to that time line? Is it closer than we think? Sorry, gotta go stomp some Troggs (on all 6 of my 80's)!!!
Artificial Sep 7th 2010 6:14PM
"I was thinking this would be closer to the Cata release."
I find this comment amusing, simply because in order to know whether this event is closer or further away from the Cata release than you were expecting, you would need to know the Cata release date. So, spill! ;)
MikeMachine Sep 7th 2010 2:08PM
I just did a series of quests at Sen'jin, but they stop right before the actual invasion quest it seems....
MikeMachine Sep 7th 2010 2:43PM
It glitched out on my one character. Unless the next quest giver in line doesn't give the quest if you put on the darkspear uniform too quickly.
Paulio Sep 7th 2010 4:17PM
It bugged for us on Alliance side when people went too far past High Tinker Mekkatorque down the Gnomeregan steps, and we had to wait for reset, but fortunately the restart didn't take long.
feniks9174 Sep 7th 2010 2:08PM
An someone confirm what leek you need to be to participate? I have several toons under 80 and I'd hate for them to miss out on the achieves.
