Is it necessary to be lvl 80 to do these quests? because I don't have any alliance lvl 80 characters...
NostraThomas Sep 7th 2010 2:39PM
Horde side starts with a quest from Vol'jin, just outside Sen'jin Village.

is this for test realms? or regular?

...it's live baby! :)

Sadface, can't equip the final reward over what I'm already wearing.
I guess that particular feature isn't implemented yet lol.
Drag Sep 7th 2010 2:47PM
Sucks that they seemed to have scraped the overcloak idea. The Gnomeregan Drape is now just a regular white-quality cloak, with a pretty design.

Hopefully this isn't the case and they'll have something like that in the future. I really hope so. Cause, I adore this cape, but would love to be able to wear it over my current one, so I can still keep my stats. :(

I want a higher-res version of that picture!

What a terrible time for me not to have downloaded Wow onto my Port. HD and play at school! Cant wait!
Delois Sep 7th 2010 3:12PM
What level do you need to be to start? My wife has a 72 toon I would love to do this with her >
arixian Sep 7th 2010 3:07PM
I saw someone say that you can get the quest at level 1 but what level do you need to be to be able to complete the entire chain? Assuming you have to actually kill something at some point during the chain I'd assume you'd have to at least be high enough to run Gnomer but can anyone confirm the actual requirement?
Tj Sep 7th 2010 3:15PM
Fun event. Weren't we supposed to get the title Gnomecoming King/Queen for completing it though?
Donegan Sep 7th 2010 3:23PM
I believe that's the name of the Feat of Strength Achievment that goes along with this event, not an actual title you will receive to display above your character. Could be wrong though.
If it is indeed the Feat of Strength, it will most likely not be awarded until the event is over and can no longer be achieved. I'm just spitballing here, but I'm usually pretty good at detecting these things.
Donegan Sep 7th 2010 4:19PM
Actually, I see it's already a Feat of Strength and it looks like they changed the name to Operation: Gnomeregan instead of Gnomecoming King/Queen, as the "Gnomecoming" page on wowhead doesn't load anymore (at least it didn't for me). Oh well...
StClair Sep 7th 2010 4:30PM
Aw, that's a shame. I liked "Gnomecoming King/Queen".
Marzipan Sep 7th 2010 3:16PM
I did part of the chain on my lvl70 druid and could not finish the chain, so I'd assume you do need to be 80 to complete it. The part I did was a lot of fun! Looking forward to doing it on my shaman later tonight with friends.
RealityWizards Sep 7th 2010 3:20PM
Yeah the final cape isn't an 'overcloak' at least not yet. Must say I'm a little dissapointed by that. And lack of title for such a huge event.
Was still very fun though.
Warning to others. Don't put on your troll disguise till they kick off the event. I put mine on and flew to the island and waited 20 min for the event to start. (( Literally. 20 min of my 30 min Troll disguise had ticked down before they started))
As a side. I was in the first group on my realm to do it.
