Tuesday Morning Post: Mad science edition

Never fear, though, the latest patch blitz from the beta servers has bought also brought the good stuff. There's a veritable cornucopia of new goodies to pore over, including new racial character introductions, new guild achievements and updates to archaeology and inscription. There's much more, of course, and you can read all about it here on WoW.com. You'll have plenty of time do so, too, as realm maintenance is scheduled for the usual 5-11 a.m. Pacific time today. And thus, dear reader, read on, for the tragic cautionary tale of Dr. Worgenstein -- I mean, more WoW news.

Possum Sep 7th 2010 7:28AM
Yep
BigBadGooz Sep 7th 2010 7:54AM
I know it's a bug but with a little tweaking I would love that model and seriously it looks perty cool
artoo Sep 7th 2010 7:35AM

Wasn't Nathaniel Essex a Twisted Victorian Mad Scientist also?

That has happened to my worgen in human form a couple of times. I tried altering the player texture setting in game to jolt it somehow back to normal, and then it displayed my night elf warrior's texture on my human! At first i thought it was some dessicated pale zombie flesh texture,...

So which of Batman's opponents is that?
Kurash Sep 7th 2010 12:00PM
Looks like Venom, the evil Spider-Man, to me. In a top hat, of course. :)

God, this is beta information overload, and I'm sick of it. Of course, I want news on the upcoming expansion, but this is ridiculous.
Perhaps, it wouldn't seem so bad if there were more -- at least a few more -- articles on the game we're playing right now. Also, think of all the brand new WoW players who are leveling a character for the first time. They and others would appreciate timely articles on the current game.

We tend to take for granted that most people who read blogs like this one are also capable of basic internet searches when they have a question to see if the answer is already out there before they ask it here, so with that in mind, can you be specific about what you're looking for? By which I mean, what exactly about the game we're playing right now do you feel has not been sufficiently covered? Even for those who shun the wider internet and expect WoW.com to singlehandedly solve all problems, the droplists below the WoW.com logo above can get you to the answer for just about any game-related question you might have.

Actually, 56.5% of these bullet-points are related to the game pre-cataclysm:
* Our Urban Legends of Warcraft series continues with mysterious sunken ships and boxes without keys.
* If you want that tiger, you better kick it into high gear: Zul'Gurub is gone as a raid zone come Cataclysm. (Informs current players of old content they may want to experience while they can.)
* You can now follow Blizzard Customer Service on Twitter.
* Scattered Shots tries to cure the end-of-expansion doldrums. (An article on doing large hunter raids...in the current game)
* Shifting Perspectives looks at the Lower Spire and Crimson Halls in heroic ICC for the balance druid.
* Encrypted Text looks at iconic rogue gear.
* The Overachiever offers a quick guide to getting raid achievement mounts.
* Raid Rx talks about choosing between healing and survival.
* Insider Trader helps you make money with Titansteel.
* Gold Capped looks at the auction house as a PvP zone.
* The Art of War(craft) covers winning at everything.
* Blood Sport looks at gaining and using momentum in PvP.
* AddOn Spotlight looks at managing your play through addons.
Besides, as Grovin said, most of the information about the current game is already in these pages somewhere. I, too, would like to hear your ideas on exactly what they should spend their time covering these days...
