Requests: Lets see an Alliance lowbie video for a change, like that cute dwarf shaman. If not, let the pet die and cannibalize it.
...What?
Natsumi Sep 9th 2010 5:49PM
You mean the deleted Dwarf Shaman? Yeah, that got deleted, sorry ISA. :p
However, there IS Peenk :D
Dreyja Sep 9th 2010 12:14AM
Ugh darn, I was able to sign in tonight and it's the undead hunter. Blargh. ;) I get why folks are curious about this one but I wish I could have watched on other nights.
Still - Good work.
As always, many thanks to Robin for doing this though. :D
I'm sure it was very interesting.

Everything I see from the Beta makes me loathe the Sylvanas and her faction of the Scourge more. And I *already* loathed them! It really, really sucks that Worgen can't experience their own faction's storyline, that they get carted off to Kalimdor like the Draenei, this expansion's unwanted stepchildren of the Alliance. I expect I'll loathe the Scourge even more once I've fought them as Worgen, so the chances of me rolling Scourge to experience the second half of the Worgen storyline from the other side are slim. Death to the Dead! Death to the Damned! The guilty shall SUFFER!

Scourge =/= Forsaken
Fletcher Sep 9th 2010 2:04AM
People keep trying to tell me that, but these days I honestly can't see any appreciable difference. They're both hideous mockeries of life, they're both under the thumbs of insane, genocidal dictators, they both want to destroy everything that lives. Some Forsaken may have free will, but since they don't use it to disagree with their Dark Lady, it's immaterial. They might as well be Scourge, for all the good they do for the world.
miztrz Sep 9th 2010 2:30AM
Pretty sure you just stole the whole reasoning behind the Scarlet Crusades existence there, and how well did that work out for them?
I for one like Sylvanas. Shes got the balls to fight for her people. I do agree some of the storylines I hear in the expac border on unethical, but shes still pretty cool. Plus for a chick who is dead, she looks pretty damn foxy.
Dreyja Sep 9th 2010 3:47AM
All that being said miztrz, it doesn't answer the question of how they are different from the scourge, especially under the rule of Sylvanas that continues to look MORE and more like a Lich-king type on control.
If you think it's better because the boss is foxy. then so be it.
I'll never understand anyone that claims to love/follow Sylvie but hates Arthas anymore. They have perpetrated the same atrocities.
There was a time when you could argue that the scarlet crusade was wrong on this one. I still think they are wrong, which is why they still are, and will ever be, my enemy. That being said, what Sylvanas has done of late has UTTERLY put her on par w/ Arthas. You may hate that but it makes her followers scourge. /Shrug. Continue to follow her dark and foxiness if you wish but don't try to make her anything other than what she is.

"In place of a Dark Lord, you would have a queen! Not dark, but beautiful and terrible as the dawn! Treacherous as the sea! Stronger than the foundations of the earth! All shall love me, and despair!"
Dreyja Sep 9th 2010 3:59AM
Erm Fletcher... sorry for this but: /swoon. XD
That quote could not BE more On the Nose. Just say'n .

Except that Galadriel was a) wiser b) prettier and c) not dead. Still, I wouldn't be surprised if Blizzard were trying to emulate Tolkien's couple of lines regarding Galadriel and the One Ring - is there any doubt that if Sylvanas had run across a second Frostmourne in her quest for vengeance upon Arthas, that she'd pick it up?
I wonder if Maiev would have, if she'd come across it in her chase after Illidan ... I'd like to think Maiev's sense of Justice and unswerving, uncompromising righteousness would prevent her from picking it up ... but I'd probably be disappointed.
In all honesty, I'd *like* to like the Forsaken (I have one at level cap) - the idea of the free dead is interesting - but aside from a very few exceptions, they're just evil, and doing evil *with free will*, in full cognizance of their actions, and bearing full responsibility for those actions. I can agree, to an extent, to the argument that they're defending Lordaeron's territorial sovereignty - but their methods are abhorrent, and the ends don't justify the means.

I'd have to agree with Fletcher and Dreyja on this one. Forsaken seem to be more and more like the Scourge each passing day. My viewpoint is that while the Forsaken are free willed Undead, the Scourge was ALSO full of free willed undead, they were usually eclipsed by the sheer number of Ghouls, Zombies, Skeletons, and the various other types of mindless undead. How many Undead bosses were just mindless Zombies? None that I can recall. How many of those bosses were fanatically loyal to Arthas as the LK? All of them. How many of the Forsaken are fanatically loyal to Sylvannus? I'd have to say almost all of them, even Putricide was loyal, he just jumped the gun at Wrathgate. For his transgression, Sylvannus threw him to the wolves (Alliance). The one that took over the city was big B, who dies at the hands of the Horde for his betrayal (which was totally expected and long overdue in my opinion). Sylvannus sweet talks her way out of execution, and begins plotting anew.
Also, Breaking free of the LK's control as the original Forsaken did, exerting their free will, is completely different from subjecting your fallen enemies to the same torturous existence that you suffer from. It's not propagating the species, it's an atrocity of the exact magnitude as the original Scourge Plague. How they reacted when raised to undeath leads me to believe that these new Forsaken aren't exactly as free willed as their predecessors. Standing up and proclaiming your loyalty to the being that just murdered you and then subsequently subjects you to eternity as an unliving aberration seems a bit off to me.
But, you "Forsaken =/= Scourge" people are entitled to your position, no matter how clouded your undead vision is. :)

This was fun! :D I hope I didn't kill too many mobs on you. (Donna) I stopped when you said you have so many friends helping you. XD
I love how the new phasing is working, most of the NPC's you were talking to I couldn't see even though I could see you, really neat how that works. Thanks for sharing the adventure! :D

"I love how the new phasing is working, most of the NPC's you were talking to I couldn't see even though I could see you, really neat how that works. Thanks for sharing the adventure! :D"
I was wondering how this zone was working/if it was phased, but the only way to know was to have someone who was there, but not part of the quest line. So that worked out well.
Seems it would have to be phased if Sylvanas was in one place and then transported you to the next and remained there. But I wasn't sure.
The storyline seems very well thought out and complete. I am so happy for something other than "Kill 10 of these people" and not seeing the concequences of your actions. Before, it seems that you killed the 10 fokes that their association group would never notice were gone.. and now... WOW. You kill them, they lay a bomb trap for you. (Wonder if those bomb people were always there, and you just discovered them when you were sent there or if they phased up when you finished the previous quest. (Donhorn, you would know if you weren't seeing the phase... was this one of those invisible to you NPCS?)
Favorite part - part that made me laugh so hard the BF had to pause his movie and come over, 'RUN! RUN! {Agatha picks you up by neck bone and drags you out of the keep} " SO FUN!
