I think you missed the point there. Subtlety is about killing someone without them realising it. Assassation is about burst damage [although it's lack of cooldowns make it more prone to steady damage than Combat]. Combat is about toe to toe fighting.
Subtlety gets a lot of bleeds and movement, so your opponent keeps dying without them noticing and without them being able to touch you. This has evolved somewhat over the years, but Hemorrhage has always made Subtlety the 'bleed' spec. And of the other two only Assassination has ever needed a bleed for DPS, and that only to provide the ability to use another buff, not to do actual damage with.
