Actually, I find that Barkskin is quite nice for building up a large stack of Unchained Magic, and then using it as the "final" charge on the stack. The 20% damage reduction can be really nice when you find yourself with 8+ stacks.

He was referring to heroic mode, where exploding with unchained magic in the raid will make you very unpopular.

Ah, I've only done Sindragosa on 10 man heroic, using a tactic where the casters afflicted with Unchained Magic move away from the rest of the raid.
