It took me a while of writing and rewriting this very response for me to wrap my head around the dot component of the new Combustion. The thing is that it's not really very exciting at all, and i still have some questions about it: does it include the final *boom* of living bomb in it's calculations, is getting to add another pyro dot really a big deal, does it matter that it uses ignite procs since those stack on each other anyway?
Besides those questions I do like the idea.

The reason the ignites are so nice is because instead of ticking for 4 sec it will tick for 10 sec, and if that's a pyro ignite that would be pretty substantial.

Yea but it does the same damage over 10 seconds. So, if your ignite was for say 1000 damage, it would tick 500 500. If you combusted just that (which would be stupid but makes this example simple), then it would tick 200 200 200 200 200 (assuming it ticks 5 times in 10 seconds). At least that's how I am reading it. So, to me it still seems kind of meh.

The reason it's so exciting is simply because all the AoE dots can be merged onto the boss, and all the boss dots can be reapplied while the combustion dot runs.
