Rumor: Cataclysm targeted for a November 2 release date

According to MMO-Champion, Cataclysm is targeted for a release date of Tuesday, Nov. 2, 2010. No official release date has been announced, and as is noted on MMO-Champion, Blizzard could easily push back the release date.
We do know that Cataclysm has previously been targeted for a 2010 release date and that they've kept on this target recently.

Damn - will miss my vacation by 2 weeks if that turns out to be correct.
I really want to play the new stuff, but mostly I want my guildies who're on hiatus until at least the pre-event to come back. Was good to see everyone log in for the Gnomer/Echo Isles events.

I wouldn't really classify this as a "rumor" - more like a prediction. Just because Boub makes a guess doesn't make it a rumor.

Based on the words he used, though, it seems like he’s not just guessing. There is definitely the sense that Boub is working with some inside information when stating that date.

Boub is right 99.9 percent of the time.He broke the early Cataclysm details before anyone else. He has Blizzard sources, so if he says that it has a target date of Nov 2, then that is the target date.

Actually, I can confirm the "rumor" of the expected release date. Many of you who go to Gamestop know that most stores carry a book with the intended release dates of upcoming products. I got a copy of one page from those books which stated Cataclysm being released on November 2nd. You can probably still see it.

Gamestop has a record of having inaccurate "filler" dates IIRC. Not to put down your comment, of course.

I still hold to the idea that it'll be released on November 23rd, because it was the day Vanilla was released and so I think Blizzard would like to take such an opportunity.

You should never expect Blizzard to release a Game/Expansion/Major Patch during a major holiday like Christmas. They don't want people to have to choose between their families or real life duties and playing new content. Also, I'm sure Blizzard employees don't want to be stuck at work fixing expansion/patch bugs during Christmas.
Remember that they even delayed the second wing of ICC opening so that it wouldn't coincide with Christmas.
