There's one thing that has me excited about Cataclysm, and that's goblins. So getting to see Goblins: How You Like Me Now? was like a dose of pure joy shot up my spine with the power of a thundering herd of elephants. Not only do I love those little green bastards, but JMSBuddha has really put together a great video to feature them.
Sure, worgen get to show off their Gilnean Like Me movie, but worgen don't have rocket cars. Or rocket sharks. Or rocket rockets. And they're not green. So check out these goblins, and tell us how you like them now. Interested in the wide world of machinima? We have new movies every weekday here on WoW Moviewatch! Have suggestions for machinima we ought to feature? Toss us an email at machinima@wow.com.
"Are you convinced?" Yes, I am! That's 66% due to the _awesome_ job done making this machinima, and 33% due to Blizzard proving, once again, that they see Horde as the "cool kids" and Alliance as the "good=boring" faction. Josin and Dreyja have done a good job articulating my feelings, so I don't want to go on too much about it. I'm just going to add that if you're unable to write exciting content for characters just because they're not morally ambiguous (or even on the evil side), then that means you're not that good of a writer. There's nothing inherently boring about the Alliance races and sensibilities; Blizz just doesn't seem to care to invest the time and energy to overcome their obvious preference for the Horde. So they give all the cultural references possible, that are associated with "cool", to the Goblins; meanwhile, the Gnomes serve only as comic relief at best. And the Worgen? The Hordies were all upset because the thought the Worgen belonged with the "dark, cool, edgy" Horde-- until Blizz nerfed that out of them and made them tamed dogs.
I don't say this to take away from this video at all. I meant it when I said it was awesome-- I may have to roll a Goblin now, whereas before I never really considered it! So yes, it's that good, I'm convinced!

Okay so I like them a bit more than I did, but I still wish Worgen were Horde instead. :/

I agree, that is pure joy

The Horde definitely got the better of the new races.
But unlike BC this actually makes more historical sense.

Zones, quests and theme maybe, but the goblin models were meh, and the female voice just killed them for me.

Screw testing, the folks in Beta need to make more epic machinima.

LOVE IT!!
I cannot wait to get my sassy little female Goblin!

It's a good video, but I was expecting a "How do you like me now?" parody.

Great video, but watching it, I get the idea that goblins just shouldn't be wearing robes. It's not a good look for them.

I'm going to grab this quote:
