I've always had a problem getting a handle on all those buttons. So I installed Xpadder and now play WOW with an xbox360 controller. I made a custom profile for tanking, but really it can work with any class. The mouse buttons are the triggers, left analog is WASD, right stick is camera, the face buttons are my top four attacks (Charge, Shield Slam, Devastate, Shockwave) and the d-pad contains my secondaries (Taunt, Thunderclap, Shield Bash, and Revenge). It might sound complicated but there's really no faster way of controlling the character. I've successfully tanked ICC with this setup. I still suck at PvP, though, but it's my own fault; the controls are perfect.

It doesn't sound complicated; it sounds stupid. How do you pop your trinkets? What about your defensive cooldowns? Shouts? How do you target a specific mob? There *is* a faster way to control the character: Keyboard & Mouse.ICC is a joke. With the buff, you'd have to be pretty bad to fail on normal modes, so of course you'd have no trouble running in there and AOEing the crap out of everything that moves, but I'll tell you right now, there is no way you can hope to be a capable tank in Cataclysm's upcoming progression content. I hate to boil it down to this, but...YOU'RE DOING IT WRONG.

I've been thinking about doing that with my paladin and a couple other classes for a while now. I used to work at a warehouse where we sold 360-for-PC controllers, but never got around to swiping one.Although, it's probably not the best idea for pvp, since that's the one aspect of the game that practically rewards you for understanding every aspect of your class. The only reason I haven't done it? No easy way to loot. That's it.

Kind of curious that my initial comment got downrated for pointing out that he's not able to use all his spells/items, and therefore not playing his class the way it is supposed to be played. While you could play with your feet if you really wanted to (for all you that would argue that you can play however you want), you would still be doing it "wrong." You can tank dungeons - and probably even ICC with the buff - with improper gemming/enchanting/gearing, but you would still be doing it "wrong."Also curious that the author, Zach Yonzon, said that keyboard turning is bad, yet that's exactly what 'In A World (XBL)' is doing. You can't turn with a joystick as fast as you can with a mouse; it's delayed lateral rotation, which is exactly the same as what keyboard turning does."there's really no faster way of controlling the character" and "the controls are perfect" are lies.
