What exactly is the use of ascending to a higher level of being, and then having that higher level turn out to be a puddle of liquid metal? Not even, like, molten metal. It's liquid at room temperature. What kind of crap is that?
Boz asked:
The tooltip for Crawling Hand / Mummified Monkey Paw reads, "A legend among the tol'vir tells of a wicked djinn who the Ramkahen sought to destroy."
Wait a sec -- "Djinn"? The Tol'Vir have a great origin story, but when did Djinn pop into Azeroth? Is there any current lore available that supports their introduction? Or are they just a fancy-pants elemental?
The djinni are servants of Al'Akir, much like the stone giants that serve Therazane yet aren't the stock "earth elementals" you see wandering around Azeroth. There's no lore available for them pre-Cataclysm, but our exposure to Al'Akir, Skywall and Uldum has admittedly been pretty limited so far!
Scunosi asked:
Any sign of the Kvaldir in Cataclysm, or at least Vahj'ir? It seemed like they were poised to attack a lot of the coastal regions in Wrath, yet nothing much came of them.
Yes! The Kvaldir have a strong presence in Vashj'ir.
Penguinairsauce asked:
What's happened with the Bloodsail Buccaneers in Cataclysm?
This.
Sheyki asked:
We've all seen the Alliance guild mount, but has there been anything for the Horde one?
No model yet, but it's a scorpion.
Jormund Fenris asked:
What does other WoW Insider writers' hair smell like? We know Mike Sacco's smells better than girls' hair, but what about the others?
I can't comment on the hair smell of writers I haven't yet met in person, but I can say that Rich Maloy's hair smells of casked whiskey, Mat McCurley's hair smells suspiciously like Froot Loops, and Fox Van Allen's hair stinks of desperation.

Since the domain switch, I've had to activate each of my comments by email. Before the switch, I only had to do that once. Is there something I'm doing wrong? Activating each comment by hand is really annoying.
thegatherer Sep 17th 2010 2:06PM
in each of the emails asking you to activate the comment, there should be a password at the very bottom of the page. copy/paste that into the password box under the "returning" tab, and put your email in the other box. allow your browser to remember you, and voila! no more activation!
lownwolf Sep 17th 2010 2:11PM
you could always create an account and make your own password. works for me fine. Previously you had to do it through the joystiq site itself, idk if that's been fixed.
Duulket Sep 17th 2010 2:11PM
Make sure you check "Remember me"
Hih Sep 17th 2010 2:49PM
Oh that's right. The site gives you a stupid random impossible to remember on your own password and I just figured firefox would save it rather than bothering to change it. So somehow firefox was putting in the wrong password for this site and it was letting me comment without the right password in the password box. But because of that it was requiring me to manually activate every comment. Got it. Thanks guys.
xvkarbear Sep 17th 2010 2:51PM
:O I didn't even know I could disable the activate comments thing! Thanks for mentioning it!
Brett Porter Sep 17th 2010 4:34PM
Wow! I've had to activate each comment manually even when using a password on the old site. Lucky!
This is my first comment on new site so we'll see!
Brett Porter Sep 17th 2010 4:37PM
OK using this as a test to see if what I did from the Joystiq main site will help me avoid having to activate each comment...
*fingers crossed*

Trying to get my password working here...
Darasen Sep 17th 2010 7:22PM
I have made comments on a couple articles since the switch and have yet to have their e-mail confirmation arrive. I checked the spam folder as well just in case.

The Horde mount is a scorpion?! First fox pets then this.
...I think I need a minute to recover from the awesome.
thegatherer Sep 17th 2010 2:07PM
No, true awesome would be riding a Ravasaur.
Darthregis Sep 17th 2010 2:16PM
@thegatherer
After the Barrens and 1k Needles, I'd rather a Centaur.
Samutz Sep 17th 2010 2:17PM
We already have a Ravasaur (http://www.wowhead.com/spell=64659). Needs to be a Devilsaur, although I'd like a Thunder Lizard.
A scorpion sounds awkward if the model is based on current scorpion. Their stinger would always be pointed right at your back.

We also ride Raptors, wolves and Goblin Hot Rods. It wouldn't truly be a horde mount if it didn't have the possibility of killing you. That's how we roll.
*hides BElf chicken*
Nagaina Sep 17th 2010 3:21PM
Hey! That chicken is VICIOUS.
EaterOfBirds Sep 17th 2010 3:29PM
''ITS A SCORPION''
awesome...
JustPlainJim Sep 17th 2010 3:40PM
Would you say this scorpion...
Rocked you like a hurricane?
Ed Ross Sep 17th 2010 4:18PM
I've read a while ago that the horde mount would be a thunder lizard... If it is true, why Blizz changed that? Scorpions seems.. awkward, thunder lizards seem awesome.
I read somewhere someone saying, at the time, "wtf are thunder lizards"? I was like ":-O". Any horde player knows what a thudne lizard is. Barrens has quite a bunch of them, just to point one example. Stonetalon and Desolace also have these beasts.
Me want my thunder lizard, mon. : (
(cutaia) Sep 17th 2010 4:25PM
But isn't a Thunder Lizard just a kodo with plates on it's back?
