I am very happy that mages (one of the two classes I don't have at 80, as I was waiting for ELF MAGES on the alliance side :) ) have their "three spec choice" back! I've followed the class, for the purpose of advising guildies, throughout WOTLK, and while I will always love the aesthetics of arcane, and will be rolling arcane myself, I am very glad that in doing so that I won't look like a bandwagon jumper, that there is no bandwagon anymore, the bandwagon is: roll mage, kill stuff. I have friends who love frost, who went arcane to raid, and they are chomping at the bit for Cataclysm. I have mage friends whose concept allows for no spec but fire, so they have endured an entire expansion of being told they are wrong, and that's stupid! I am so very happy for "conceptual mages" of the fire and frost variety, and can't wait to see you all doing what you love to do, instead of what you've been told to love to do.For me, I love arcane for the "hurling raw power" concept, and a mana-management intensive playstyle works perfectly for that, so I'm excited!

I love all aspects of a Mage, be it Fire, Frost or even the coolishness of Frostfire. But I too am an Arcane mage at heart :)I love the concept of understanding the raw, core principels of magic in it's most primal forms and using it to manipulate the very fabrics of physical reality - time, space, distance, heat, etc. Also I might add. I disagree that 4 AB -> 1 AM will be the standard rotation. In it's new form, it will be the second most mana consuming one, and the new Arcane is about balancing your mana. What I mean is - you'll be varying the amout of Blasts afore a Missile salvo depending on your mana and situation. And also - I am no shure about this, since I don't have the numbers, but Arcane Barrage looks like it will end up being an abillity we will want to you on stationary fights aswell, becouse of it's real effectivness.

This.Same here for me, I love the mindset of Arcane, plus the utility it gives makes it amazing fun for me.
