Around Azeroth Beta Edition: Don't blame me, I voted for the lizard people
Someone call David Icke, stat! The lizard people have finished interfering with Minnesota politics and are now invading World of Warcraft. Beta tester Sara was attempting to change her male worgen into a female, and instead revealed the hideous true reptilian form hidden beneath the fur. She writes that when she logged back in, the character was a normal worgen female, but don't be fooled by the exterior appearance. The lizard people have shown their true faces, and we will not be fooled again. No, we won't.

I have to admit, i am a little afraid and worried right now at seeing this picture...
But, i must ask..what are those icons on the "enlarged" picture next to each character?
And does anyone have any word on more character slots?

I'm only guessing (I'm not in beta, nor have I purchased a race change) but I think they are the paid race change buttons. Blizzard has been stress testing the service by giving random race changes to beta-ers.

yeah those are the race change and the customisation options of paid services, they also brought faction changes in with today's patch. it's fun messing around with them.

They have also been giving them to people on the PTR.
It leads to interesting bugs, such as race changing, then renaming (for some reason my old name was still unavailable on the PTR even after a wipe) and the first time I logged in, my name in chat was my old name, while my name on my character portrait was correct.
And if you shift-clicked me, it said "0 players found."

drak, it will do that if youre using any chat addons at all, i've noticed.

It's a wereworc (orc-werewolf) mid-transformation.
Deathknighty Sep 19th 2010 9:05AM
No, it's a worglin.
Duh.

Reference win.
I am definitely naming a Worgen "Kodos" now.

Hmmmm, I think its an improvement on the earlier female worgan look that was revealed recently, but both are still ugly :p
Melissa Sep 19th 2010 10:48AM
Yeah, that was happening to me to, except with a lighter color face...it's basically a goblin skin on the model, but since the features are not the same, it comes on very weird...My worgen got a nelf face, you could tell by the eyes that started at about the nose>.>
transforming makes the issue go away, though :D

Someone find Michael Ironside, quick!
StClair Sep 20th 2010 1:23PM
That was my thought too.
Hih Sep 19th 2010 11:27AM
How the hell does something like that even happen?
Xid Sep 19th 2010 4:25PM
A wizard screwed up... badly.
Eldoron Sep 19th 2010 11:33AM
Could we get *less* pictures about bugs and glitches? The thing above happens alot, textures of 2 characters get mixed. I already had a draenei-orc myself aswell. Nothing interesting or funny in it.

Damn what a killjoy.... You like to go around telling us how much fat is in ice cream and to do our homework too?
