Cataclysm Beta: Engineers provide new version of Great Feast

Datamined from the next beta patch, engineers will now be able to craft a Goblin Barbecue, an engineering version of the chef's best friend, the Great Feast. Giving well fed group and raid members 60 stamina and another 60 points in another useful stat, this barbecue promises to be delicious in all the right ways. In my opinion, engineering has been getting some amazing love this expansion, truly cementing the profession as the utility-focused trade. I cannot wait for the graphic to show up. Sing it with me, engineers: Engineering, best profession.

We are, we are, we are, we are, we are the engineers,
we can, we can, we can, we can demolish many beers,
drink rum, drink rum, drink rum, drink rum and come along with us,
for we don't give a damn for any damn man who don't give a damn for us!

but what the side effects of eating it? is not an engineering recipe if it doesnt have side effects
Anathemys Sep 19th 2010 3:21PM
Ok, the side effect?
Let's say every type of addiction has a number from one to ten. The most addicting drug in the world is a nine. This barbecue is a 42 on that scale.
That's right. It's a 42, on a scale of ONE to TEN! The barbecue is fattening, greasy, probably so flithy it make health inspectors everywhere commit suicide, and radioactive, but IT IS FREAKING AMAZINGLY DELICIOUS.

Like all of the finest goblin engineering the BBQ has a critical failure chance with explosive results but you wont find out until the next morning!
Jack Miles Sep 19th 2010 4:11PM
Well, if it were a gnomish barbaque, the results could be insane. You could create your evil twin, turn invisible, learn to fly ect ect...
The goblin one will just be explosive. Maybe alot of chilli or sommit.

Oh man... Hope this means we'll see a new cooking outfit to go with the hat. Nothing says BBQ like an apron.
I want mine to say "Kiss the Chief" with a tauren face on the front.
Hollow Leviathan Sep 19th 2010 11:55PM
This is what the grill is actually supposed to do. It is actually a malfunction when it just cooks food. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lXRCf9LbLM0
Plus, Michael Bay is a Goblin. It all makes sense! All those explosions...

That's one clean burning hell, I tell you what.
Imnick Sep 19th 2010 3:09PM
Is this a jeeves-esque creation with unlimited uses but a long cooldown, or another one-time-only deal?
tulipblossom Sep 19th 2010 7:32PM
Oh man, I hadn't thought of this. :O I was thinking it was a one shot deal and that you'd make them each individually, the way you do other cooking recipes. But, if this turns out to be an actual reusable item that Engineers can create, than I'll be even more excited!
Even if it's not, though, this sounds awesome, none the less. I'm so excited for Cataclysm. I love anything to do with professions and Engi is my profession of choice. So, I love this sort of news! :D

As a Goblin Engineer, may I say 'Effin' Awesome'.
As a sidenote, Deathwing totally cooks with charcoal, I'll tell you what.
scarysiren Sep 19th 2010 3:23PM
The correct phrase is "I tell you what". It's a common turn of phrase down here in Texas: The Land of Bad Spelling and Worse Grammar.
Skrotus Sep 19th 2010 3:35PM
Common misuse in Texas does not make your variation of the phrase more "correct" than any other.
Zalvi24 Sep 19th 2010 4:41PM
@scarysiren
you are thinking about Boston
scarysiren Sep 19th 2010 4:42PM
Considering in this instance it's a reference to King of the Hill... um, yes it does.
Amaxe Sep 19th 2010 6:02PM
Mmm hmm. Yep.
Finnicks Sep 19th 2010 3:16PM
I too was excited until I noticed the part where the Barbecue itself requires 475 cooking to use. D:
I became an engineer so I wouldn't have to level cooking.
MrJackSauce Sep 19th 2010 3:22PM
wait...what?
Ametrine Sep 19th 2010 3:27PM
Your engineer can make it, your cook can use it.
Kinda like how Engineers can make the Salt Shakers used by Leatherworkers, Blacksmiths make the Rods used by Enchaters, etc.
