Cataclysm beta: Horde and Alliance guild mounts
Interested in seeing what the Horde mount is? It is the Kron'Kar Annihilator (a scorpion), and you can see a video of it after the jump!
So after seeing both mounts, which one would you rather have? That question is assuming that you're not in any way faction-biased. Personally, I think the scorpion looks really cool. I wouldn't mind riding a lion around either, though.

Tauren Druid - there's your Horde Lion!
Matthew Sep 19th 2010 1:54PM
I meant Tauren Druid in kitty form, natch.
Magma Sep 19th 2010 1:47AM
That..is a badass scorpion.
TheChao Sep 19th 2010 1:57AM
How does one RIDE a scorpion? Also, where is the guild banner going to go? not hanging off the tip of the tail i hope. (secretly i do)
bonekrewe Sep 19th 2010 10:52AM
Very carefully.

In Soviet Russia, scorpion rides you.
Murdertime Sep 19th 2010 1:58AM
The Horde continues it's proud tradition of taming and riding things no sane person should want to ride.
Because somehow, riding wolves, lizards with poisonous skin, prehistoric rhinos, dead ponies and goblin go-karts just isn't manly enough for certain orcs.
Norai Sep 19th 2010 2:30AM
Don't forget rainbow chickens....
Norai Sep 19th 2010 2:32AM
UGLY rainbow chickens, by the way. I'm horde, play some belfs, and I hate the damn chicken.
Darky Sep 19th 2010 2:38AM
And riding lions and savage cats is much better?
Just sayin' is all.
lilywillylover Nov 6th 2010 8:31AM
Because lions, white tigers, other assorted big cats, and Gnomish engineered walkers with a possibility of exploding aren't dangerous?
Riding things no sane Earth person would isn't exclusive to Horde.
P.S. Kodos are docile, I've seen Elekk bulls more aggressive in Nagrand.
thatguy Sep 19th 2010 2:47AM
I don't know friend, I still think riding into Arathi Basin taking over BS while on your turtle mount is still the manliest/funniest/sexiest thing of all time.
Doki-Chan Sep 19th 2010 2:48AM
Everyone all together now for the Chocobo song: "la, la-la-la, la-la-la-la, la, laaaaa.."
Kurash Sep 19th 2010 3:52AM
It takes a big man to go out in public on a rainbow chicken. To paraphrase "Firefly":
"You see a man walking down the street on that, you know he's not afraid of anything."
Astalnar Sep 19th 2010 4:04AM
Because of rainbow chickens, Horde has to compensate with scorpion. (I still quietly wish Blood Elves would get Horses, their so famed Thalassian Steeds)
Otherwise, Lion compared to Scorpion realy fades away.
Vaeku Sep 19th 2010 7:21AM
@Astalnar
The "blood elf horse" is available in-game, but it's a high elf mount, the quel'dorei steed. But you have to grind a lot to get it. :/
However I never understood why blood elves got a hawkstrider when I don't remember any history of them having such an animal, and they don't get the steed.
Astalnar Sep 19th 2010 9:52AM
@ Vaeku
That is correct. High Elf/Blood Elf mount is accesible to Alliance but not to the Horde and majority of broken faction that was once known as high elves and are now Blood Elves. They just got some random rainbow chicken wich seems related to Arakkoa.

Both look amazing.. Good job blizz! However I gotta go with the lion.. I can't trust that scorpions tail behind me!
RuzGofDI Sep 19th 2010 2:03AM
And thus did the Horde fall. Not in battle with its enemies, but due to a massive increase in scorpid venom poisonings.
VioletArrows Sep 19th 2010 2:56AM
Nah, we're good. After taming up ravasaurs and wyverns, this is cake. It should be some kind of faction bonus by now.
But if you really, really, really gotta be a wuss about it, just cap the thing.
