Interested in seeing what the Horde mount is? It is the Kron'Kar Annihilator (a scorpion), and you can see a video of it after the jump!
So after seeing both mounts, which one would you rather have? That question is assuming that you're not in any way faction-biased. Personally, I think the scorpion looks really cool. I wouldn't mind riding a lion around either, though.

Ok Alliance, gratz to you. But eventhough it looks like a lion, it sounds like a horse. When it's walking through the grass it sounds fine and all, but as soon as it hits hard surface you clearly hear hooves. I sure hope, for alliance's sake, that they'll change it. Otherwise it's just a horse in a lions-suit....
Not that I care too much though. It seems I'm getting me a nice ol' scorpion.

I am excited for my Lion mount as well for my big bug, Looking forword to taking my young maned Worgen for a ride around Stormwind on his Maned young Lion all the while saying " I rock and roll, allllll they time. Sweet Suzy!"

If I understand the Blizzard development team correctly, if you're in Worgen form and on a mount, you're not riding so much as "surfing".
Too, your theme will be Surfin' USA.

I'd have to go for the lion, Primarily because Scorpions (even virtual ones) scare the hell out of me.
Still it's pretty neat as far as a mount goes.

I have to say it, but Alliance 1 - Horde 0 on this one. They get a cool ass looking Lion ... we get a re-used Scorpid ... geee! Thanks Blizz.

Just me or does that lion look like it runs faster than the regular 100%'s ? I'd rather have the scorpion if the banner hung from the tail and its /mountspecial was it leaning forward and clicked it's pincers menacingly.

Anyway, scorpions are the most badass looking creatures in nature.

Sadly, I must disagree. Look up tailless whip scorpions (two L's in tailless). They aren't scorpions (just as a lion isn't a tiger), and they look waaaaay more badass than any scorpion. If only we could ride one of them- though there probably isn't enough room for a saddle amongst all the spikes.

Alliance lion mount sucks. I thought it was cool at first, until I realized it was a night saber with hair. Very disappointed. The scorpion is bad ass though. It's original and a completely new mount skin.

And the scorpion model just looks like an upsized version of the mob, with extra appendages or something.

Grass is indeed always greener, i'm vehemently alliance but the scorpion looks way better than the lion
But let's think about it logically. When you think of animals around org (the capital city of the horde) you think worgs and scorpions, they already have worgs so give them a scorpion mount.
Now stormwind, capital. city of the alliance....sheep? boars?
while a boar would be an awesome mount admittedly, Lion is better than a sheep :P

Why do they get ground mounts when no one is gonna use them in Cataclysm. They should have made them flying mounts.

So that they can add in Guild Flying mounts in a future expansion. They're probably leaving themselves room to grow, as far as Guild Rewards go.

that's it folks, horde are going to lose the war now. How many Orcs, Trolls, Goblins, Taurens, and Blood Elves do you think will accidentally poison themselves on this mount. Next thing you know the forsaken will be selling the rest of the horde "plagued" antidotes and the horde will be no more, only the Forsaken will remain.
