The background chattering is what really makes the event, I think.

Since this post started with brewfest I figued I'd take a moment to brag, I've never been high enough lvl to kill coren so yesterday was my first time...both the ram and the remote dropped from my very first bag =D
I love this holiday ^^

Grats, man. That's awesome.
Brewfest Sep 21st 2010 10:14AM
Thats nice, I do still looking for the remote myself - for my new wow character.
This will be his first brewfest... I like it better when you can buy the Rum as well, save a lot of time...

Hmm, I only get emblems of frost... unless there is a quest i didn't bother to get?
Dr. Nothing Sep 22nd 2010 5:38AM
The frost emblems are a guarenteed drop from the bag, all the otheritems like mounts and flavour stuff are rare drop but now you don'thave to roll against others for them it's much better than justdropping off the boss imo :)
Thanks guys..If I get the kodo as well now my gf is gonna muderalise me xD

Maintenance right after Brewfest starts? It's only been one day, we can't have partied hard enough to break the servers...
...yet...
Nadia Sep 21st 2010 8:04AM
Maybe they'll give us the 2010 Brewfest stein!
Aruhgulah Sep 21st 2010 11:42AM
AMEN TO THE STEIN!
I did all that drinkin' and partyin' and barfin' just to find out it was the same stein as LAST YEAR????
*wanders back off to the sausage vendor*

Daily quests for low levels?! YES!
When I started WoW, it was just after summer flame festival had ended. So Brewfest was the first festival I had participated in. I played so much I had brewer hand stamps for six characters, three on one server, three on another. In a fit of rage at friends leaving the game who got me into the game and were supposed to be there to group with and so on, I deleted three of those characters. Had I known about server transfers I would not have deleted them. I really wish now I could bring them back.
Keg delivery is still a blast and I'm always trying to beat my old high score for barrels delivered.
Jedignome Sep 21st 2010 9:10AM
I logged on to get the new Stein on all my characters, only to find they are giving out the green ones again, complete with the 2009 feat of strength achievement. That is so lame.
Amaxe Sep 21st 2010 11:47AM
Where are you getting the stein? I can't find the damned thing anywhere?
lethian Sep 21st 2010 12:16PM
can understand you annoyance, but for me, it was nice, i ran outta time last year and missed out on "brofest"
Lyinar Sep 21st 2010 12:31PM
Amaxe: I've noticed on my Death Knight, who has the Brewmaster title thanks to completing it all last year, that the quest to get the stein wasn't available. On my Paladin, who I started in May, was able to get the quest, but it rewarded last year's stein and FoS acheivement. I think that quest is still bugged to think it's last year's Brewfest, so if you already have last year's stein you can't do the quest.
I put in a ticket, but I'm pretty sure everyone else in all of WoW did the same. Hopefully they'll fix that during maintenance today.

Has anyone noticed that the mount drop rate has been increased? I ask because yesterday SEVEN of my guildmates came away with a brewfest kodo or ram. Since the first brewfest I have not seen that many drop within my guild for the whole event let alone one day.
Dr. Nothing Sep 22nd 2010 5:48AM
Could be simply cos now the mounts drop from the bags and are running on the same drop rate for all the bags combined
So say previous years you've killed coren once and drop rate is X, this year with it coming from the bag drop it could still be X drop rate but cos we all get the bags at the same time it's X * 5
I might be talking complete crap though xD
lethian Sep 21st 2010 12:06PM
2 things ones me braggin like Dr. Nothing, lol im 70 some tokens away from my violet proto on my Deathknight, missed "Brofest" last year. Second is as far as worgen being thier own mounts, we will see how far this goes, Tauren i beta and from what I've herd (lol get it , tauren?), had an ability called plains running or something where they went mount speed, that was very short lived, but if they do it with Worgen i hope people have fun with it, I will not be making a Worgen for balance reasons on my main server and that i have other toons i want to keep with and only one spot which will be a goblin :)
Dr. Nothing Sep 22nd 2010 5:10AM
Lol at 'herd' xD
Gratz on the Drake, I switched from the us to eu a few months back so it'll be Midsummer next year before
Aaron Sep 21st 2010 9:26AM
I'm running 4 80s every single day in hopes of a Kodo. I don't really have a main so I'd love for any of them to get it, but my hunter would probably get drunk and punch the others in the nose if they get it before he does. lol
