I wish these quest chains would end in Trolls and Gnomes reclaiming their cities and then they'd have actual capitol cities of their own. I've still got my fingers crossed for a later patch to do just that.

From everything that is transpired and the wording from Blizzard themselves,
"Resolute in reclaiming their lost capital, Gnomeregan's exiles have begun an assault against the traitorous Mekgineer Thermaplugg."
I think it would be damn mean if at some point both Troll and Gnomes didn't get their own cities. It would also be cool if they could make Gnome males look a little "less creepy". Like many toons there is like 1-2 decent models.

@noyou It's the eyebrows. They have one facial hair setting that has NO eyebrows. That's creepy as hell. And it's very prevalent, oddly enough. I don't mind a lack of facial hair (though every good male gnome should have at least a porno 'stache, IMO, but a lack of facial hair AND eyebrows?
Creeeeeeepy!

ZOmg I giggled out loud on the porno-stache comment. Actually when you got the pirate costume buff on pirate day the gnome male totally had a porno-stache. And still looked creepy :( Mekkatorque looks kick ass in the poster and even pretty cool if you visit him in Tinkertown.

The problem for the Gnomes, at least, is that they'd have to either get rid of the Gnomeregan instance (as in, "No one can ever run this dungeon again, sorry") or move it to the Caverns of Time or something. When MMOs do this sort of thing, even if it's to replace old content with new content, players tend to whine. Lots.

I think it's a worthy trade off and if it's such a giant problem, maybe they could just reclaim some of Gnomer and then have the instanced dungeon as a portal deeper in. They've done the same thing with stockades and RFC.
Just imagine a fully fledged gnome city. Giant twisting gears and cogs with elevators and explosions and crazy stuff going on everywhere.
And a troll city would be awesome too.
