I must be the only person who doesn't automatically buy the "cheapest" AH item. If the difference is just a few copper or silver (or a gold in the case of gems) and someone is obviously undercutting to be "top," I won't buy from them. There's also a few people I make a point *not* to buy from, regardless of their price.

I always try to buy the ones that have an "even" price. So if I see something for 19g97s and another one for 20g, I buy the 20g one. Chances are that the the 20g was posted by a human being and/or a casual player who just wants to sell some stuff.
