Question:
Are there any plans to introduce some sort of NPC or something to patrol the skies over the cities of Stormwind, Orgrimmar (not Exodar, nobody goes there anyway) etc what with us getting nice shiny fly-ey mounts in the old world? I'm sure I remember getting taken down once whilst flying in my Turbo-Charged Flying Machine over a Horde base in Northrend. Or maybe it was just Goblin engineering exploding in my face.

My guess would be that they'll be no-fly zones akin to Dalaran and Wintergrasp.
Watch as someone who's in on the beta comes along and proves me wrong.

All major cities, Dalaran, Silvermoon and Exodar excepted, allow for flight once you have purchased a Flight Master's License.

What would be even better is some surface to air defense system, similar the cannons on the walls of Wintergrasp keep. Players can fight over who gets int one, and they can be destroyed by the opposing faction, and if you just happen to get a really lucky shot, you might just blow someone out of the sky before they make it into your city's walls.
