Well, not everyone has a max level on both sides (as an example), so maybe slogging through the Barrens would be a new experience for them, but they want to streamline it a bit using the various addons mentioned.

Personally, I've just finished leveling my Druid through Outlands/Northrend because well, Druids are damn fun at that level, and I didn't see the point in waiting (because those zones won't actually be changing).

I am not going to level my other alts though, for the exact reasons you mentioned... I've run through STV so many times that I actually look forward to going to Desolace instead.
