I think the problem arises when super skinny people try to put on weight by eating the wrong things. Or when people with fast metabolisms think they can eat whatever they want...and then they get older and their metabolism slows and, and bam, they gain a ton of weight.Under or overweight, people's eating requirements should essentially be the same. I'm of the opinion that if you eat healthy, in the right proportions, and with the right frequency, and incorporate exercise into the mix, you will naturally settle in to a healthy body shape for you in time. People should really try to live like that regardless of what their actual weight is (especially since obesity isn't the only, and probably not the worst complication of poor diet and lack of exercise).It's the people who binge on cheetohs and cake trying to gain weight, or eat nothing but grapefruit and celery once a day trying to lose it that end up running into trouble.
