Have we mentioned lately that we're positively getting our asses kicked by Cataclysm heroics?
Emile asked:
With flying in Azeroth coming up, we should be able to fly to those dancing trolls you can see when you fly from Darnassus to Moonglade (if I remember the right FP, I'm sure it's somewhere over Darkshore). Will those trolls still be there in Cataclysm?
Yes, you'll be able to fly to Shatterspear Vale, where you can see the Shatterspear trolls joining the Horde and attacking the night elves, who've just had every single settlement in Darkshore obliterated by the cataclysm.
DarkSpade asked:
Asric and Jadaar haven't been having any new adventures in a while in the live game. Are they up to anything new in Cata?
Unfortunately, it doesn't appear that way.
Oweonsito asked:
I have a question. Since the Argent Tournament is grouped with the other world events, does that mean when Cataclysm comes out, it will no longer be available?
The Argent Tournament still exists in Cataclysm as part of the Northrend "timeline," so to speak. In other words, you can still prance around on ponies for no reason and help Tirion get a bunch of people needlessly murdered. You just won't be able to get Gilneas or Bilgewater Cartel rep for it.
WoWie Zowie asked:
Are there any new ways to increase my reputation with the various goblin factions in Cata? Or must I really do the Dire Maul ogre suit quest over and over?
There are plenty of new quests at new Steamwheedle hubs in the expansion, as well as the updated quests at existing goblin hubs.
Skizzit asked:
Any word yet on how we will purchase heirloom gear once all the emblems get turned into justice points?
I believe you answered your own question. Here are the prices, from commenter Aurilia:
- Chest/shoulders are 435 justice points
- Weapons are 435 justice points, 544 justice points, or 707 justice points depending on weapon type
- Trinkets are 544 justice points

I loved the small Asric and Jadaar storyline. Shame it's stopping, really.

i wouldn't be surprised that even if they don't show up in the initial cataclysm release, they'll pop up before too long.
Draelan Sep 26th 2010 2:11PM
Oh, I HOPE so. Those two are fun! =D
Eddy Sep 26th 2010 2:16PM
I will still visit them at the Tournament, if Blizzard stops moving them around.
But I kind of get it. They've gotten friendlier with every pass. Eventually they'll have to admit that they're friends, and then the magic of the love/hate banter will wane.

It did take them a while to move to the tournament grounds, didn't it? I don't remember spotting them there until after ICC. Hopefully once they find a safe spot to drink and bicker they'll move into it.

I love these guys. They're WoW's Statler and Waldorf.
Cadychan Sep 26th 2010 9:14PM
Just whatever you do, don't Google fanart of these two.
You...ah...
....yeah. o>_>o
*cough*
Chaoticflame Sep 26th 2010 9:58PM
Yes, those two are rather entertaining, the progression of bantering and location and all.
@Cady-chan: Pffft, hahahaha! You poor thing. Yes, I wouldn't recommend it unless you..*cough* know what the word 'yaoi' means.

Who is this new guy I see hanging out in Silvermoon City after the Cataclysm. His anme is Kraes of Eversong and he says he is a Self-Proclaimed Prince? He seems to be hanging out with a blood elf lady and a TROLL.
mingdi9 Sep 26th 2010 12:13PM
The troll's name is Slidfen, and the female blood elf's name is Linore Erona. I don't know if they're part of any quest or anything, though.
Josho Sep 26th 2010 12:57PM
Googled Linore Erona, popped up with someone on Moon Guard server. Not sure there's a connection.

From looking at the model he has, I am taking a guess that he's a joke about Elf roleplay, but I could be wrong.

The "Prince" is from this: http://roleplayerslament.com/2010/05/21/maths/

With the current conversion rates, that's more than twice the cost for all of them. So buy your heirlooms NOW unless you want to pay a ton extra
Erthshade Sep 26th 2010 11:55AM
More than that, with 1:2.75 being the conversion rate the costs are going to be nearly quadruple.
With that in mind, I do have a question about whether the Champion Seal costs for the heirlooms are going to change. Anyone know?
Telwar Sep 26th 2010 12:35PM
Bear in mind that the Justice Points one will be getting for running Wrath Heroics after 4.0.1 are ~15-16/boss, so that's the equivalent of 5-6 badges/boss at the conversion rate (which is deliberately bad, but far better than the nothing we got for Badges of Justice). So you don't necessarily need to buy your heirlooms NOW, you can run them after 4.0.1 and get enough for an heirloom in 10 or so heroics.
Or you can use Champion's Seals, which do not appear to be going away. Certainly, they're the same on PTR as they were on live.
Or, you can wait for Cata and level your mains up and get the new heirlooms, which won't expire at 80th level, and you can use those for 80th-level alts as well, depending on armor set.
Given that I've bought all the current heirlooms I'll need, and I want to get my main up, I'll be seeing if the Cata heirlooms and Wrath heirlooms stack on the worglock. :)
Rob Sep 26th 2010 2:22PM
I'm still not really clear on this - current heirlooms actually use Emblem of Heroism. The notes say that Heroism emblems get converted to gold, and things that cost Heroism will cost gold as well.
Are they making an exception for 1-80 heirloom items?
Ata Sep 26th 2010 5:09PM
Rob:
They'll cost Justice Points now, which you get from Triumph/Frost in the conversion. So somewhat technically more expensive? But since you can't get Heroisim badges anymore, people are just downgrading Triumph to get them anyway currently, so you're still spending the same sort of emblem anyway.

I have a question
Where in the World is Hemet Nesingwary?
Matthew Sep 26th 2010 11:44AM
He's hiding on top of Carmen Sandiego
