The Queue: Dala-ran out of portals

The portals are gone! Run for your lives! Actually, I don't really care -- that's what mages are for, right? To boss around and hound for hours until they take me to the Undercity? What's that? You want a tip? Oh, come now, it's just pressing one button, and I'm thrifty and mean. Start casting, slave! Hey, it's Queue time!
Pyromelter asked:
What's going to happen with soul shard bags, like the Abyssal Bag? It's 32 slots so I can't image they'd just convert it into a normal bag, but I haven't heard what will happen to them.
So far, soul shard bags are turning into regular bags of lower slot count. You obviously won't be getting a 32-slot bag out of the conversion, but hey, you're totally getting more bag slots! Like, real bag slots! That can hold items! Isn't that awesome?
Quill2006 asked:
Sooo ... regular or collector's edition? Which one, and why? I'm torn.
I've been buying the WoW Collector's editions since the beginning, so if I ever stopped, they would look weird on the shelf. Blizzard has me, for totally cosmetic reasons. The collector's edition has got:
- art book, 176 pages
- Lil' Deathwing in-game pet
- Cataclysm soundtrack
- Deathwing mousepad
- WoW TCG cards
omedon666 asked:
Upon looking at the worgen female screenshots, I noticed some circular icons next to the customization options, focusing on her two faces. Is this a toggle between the two forms? Can we actually customize our worgen's two forms separately now?
Currently in beta, the choices you make for one form affect the other form -- kind of like how tauren/night elf skin color affects the color that your bear or cat comes out as. This could change, but we don't currently have that information.
JiBJUB asked:
What's with just the one "t", Mat? Please 'splain. No -- not enough time. Please sum up.
My mother liked one "t" instead of two, for purely cosmetic reasons.
Devo_AS asked:
Will those silly people that don't purchase the expansion get full access to the new (and improved?) post-Cataclysm 1-60 Azeroth?
If you do not purchase the expansion, you get access to all the new content in old-new world Azeroth. You will not, however, be able to create worgen or goblin characters, potentially may not be able to fly in Azeroth and will not have access to the new 80+ content.
Michael asked:
Hey Mat! Long time reader, first time questioner! I have officially begun Kyle Watch! With the coming of the new Azeroth, I was curious if we've gotten any word from the blues if the various make-a-wishes and memorials would remain after the sundering. It would be a shame if the game, with such a rich history of recognizing the memories of the players and creators, were to lose these small touches. Having them in there is one of the major factors of my continual play. It made Blizzard awesome.
I don't think even Deathwing is evil enough to hit these memorials and monuments.

Just out of curiosity, is there a list being compiled somewhere of what achievements are going away come Cataclysm? I know "For the Alliance/Horde", in its current incarnation, will change simply because the leaders have changed. I thought I read where the achievement "The Argent Champion" was to become a feat of strength because the Argent Dawn was leaving come Cataclysm. I know some epic quest lines such as the one to get the Scepter of the Sands, are leaving.
I ask because guild members are trying to get many vanilla things done but no one can remember if it's true you won't be able to grind Wintersaber rep after Cataclysm or if that was a rumor. We're looking at an end of October event where we spend the week, every day after killing the horseman for a mount that won't drop, helping people finish off vanilla material. It would help if we knew what quest chains or achievements to target because they won't be around.

Question for the queue:
When 4.0.1 drop, our badges will convert to justice points. I was too low level when Wrath dropped, and am curious about what happens when Cata drops? We will have a bundle of justice points, and will start accumulating Valor points.
What will we be able to do with the justice points initially? Will there be a low-tier justice vendor like there is a heroism quartermaster now? (what is in the beta for those with access?) What sort of gear, low level gem-mats, etc. are available?
Where I'm getting to is - is there benefit in stockpiling triumph/frost now in preparation?

@Rufio: Awww..My 80 Blood Elf Warlock is worth keeping! As an RPer I find that when the Belves are played well (a rare occurrence, true enough) they are rather interesting and I've built a rather nice story around her so I'm pretty fond of her. Plus my Orc Shaman, Human Paladin and Nelf Druid balance her and my Undead Mage out. ;)
Looks like if Blizzard doesn't see fit to add more slots I'll have to do some creative things to get more room while deleting a banker or two. Should be a challenge, to say the least. I've been using a "mule" or two on each faction forever. I can't see why Blizzard, which keeps adding classes and races with each expansion doesn't see fit to allow more character slots per server, especially since I paid big bucks to transfer many of my characters to one server. I'm rather attached to my characters on my main server so they are all going to have to live.
I do recall a time when I brought my now Level 80 characters to first Shattrath and then Dalaran so I could jump around faster. For some reason I haven't done it with my later characters, probably because one is a Mage and the other a Druid and life is easy enough without dealing with Shatt and Dal. The Orc Shaman travels the old fashioned way but has the convenience of a hearthstone every 15 minutes due to astral recall.
I'm just wondering if the lag that may result in Stormwind and Org may in essence backfire on this strategy. I recall that with Burning Crusade Blizzard attempted to divert the lag from the main capital cities by setting up Silvermoon City and Exodar with multiple mailboxes, banks, AHs but to no avail. SMC is popular for RPing and Exodar is a ghost town (although I have two bankers in each of those cities!) but people stuck to the main cities (Org, TB, Stormwind and Ironforge).
Should be interesting in any case, guess we'll have to wait and see. Until the expansion happens nothing is definite.

Question for the queue:
Has something happened to the drop rate for frost lotus? I just spent over a half hour farming in Storm Peaks, picked up well over 100 herbs, and didn't get a single frost lotus.

Question: Do the vendors on the Traveler's Tundra Mount upgrade in Cataclysm to sell appropriate higher level food / water / reagents? Literally the day before the disappearance of Dalaran portals was announced I spent 6800g on the Kirin Tor ring to use it as hearth back to a useful centralized location... with portals. Now it was basically wasted money. So I'd hate to spend the money on the Tundra mount if in the expansion it is really just good for selling off junk and repairing.

Not able to fly in Azeroth/Kalimdor? That's insulting and ridiculous. The design team seems to be on crack these days.
