I used to use WoW to keep in touch with my boyfriend when I was in a long distance relationship. I met him ingame, and we quickly became close friends through extensive conversations and playing WoW together. We lived in different countries - England and Belgium - but our relationship was kept steady and close via WoW, as we levelled alts together, boosted each other, and helped each other complete achievements - even running our own guild together for a short time. I could never explain to my colleagues how I managed to keep an international relationship so fresh through a game. I suppose it's one of those things only other gamers can appreciate.Unfortunately, the relationship broke apart, but WoW was not the reason. So, I would happily do a long-distance-through-WoW relationship again.
