@AmaxeOf course Admiral Proudmoore acted on his own, he had no living superiors, so anyone trying to command him to do anything would have no right to do so.And acting against the wishes of the Alliance? What Alliance? You mean the slaughtered people of Lordaeron? The mages of the razed city, Dalaran? Stormwind, with it's missing king and greatly hindered army? The people of Theramore, who fought together with the forces of Kul Tiras in the defense of Theramore Isle?The only ones I can come to think of that would have any say in what the Alliance wishes for are the dwarves of Ironforge, but do keep in mind that all of these decisions are made after an undead scourge, together with fiery infernals and demons have slaughtered entire kingdoms.
