For the longest time, I felt the exact same way. I still do, to an extent. Reading is so much more than looking at words on a page...there's an entire tactile dimension to it.

But I've tried them out. A Nook at a BN and a friend's Kindle, and I'm honestly sold. Why? Convenience. As someone who moves around a lot (college student; to dorm, then back home, then back to dorm, etc) carting around all of those books all of the time becomes a pain.

Plus, I'm a lit major so a lot of my texts are stuff in the public Domain, like Shakespeare and whatnot. Free electronic versions beats paying 15-bucks for a physical copy I have to lug around anyday.
